The power of the Carlyle group just boggles the mind.

Saudi money (this they vehemently deny) and an iron grip on defense money. The board reads like a who's who in global ecopolitics. How could anyone turn down a postion that pays millions just for adding your name and making token appearances?

I imagine they will be telling us what their vision is pretty soon.

Who could intervene?

Interesting that they fired Dubya in the early 90's. Dubya could be a good guy if he didn't always cave in to "mgmt."
