Well, take it from me...who almost got married young. Best thing that will ever happen to you in the long run. It's painful and you probably feel like shit for awhile....but don't blame yourself. there were probably lots of things way wrong before the whole engagement that you just didn't see. often people say "Yeah, i thought everything was fine". i did too...and you know what? it wasn't.

once you clear your head, analyze the situation from an outside perspective...you'll understand what happened. build and grow, have fun and use it as a tool for progression.

no kids, no 50% rule....you'll be good. that's what i tell myself

I guess I'd rather have it happen now than 3 years down the road. We weren't planning on getting married til she finished grad school (6months to almost a year maybe)

think the issue runs deeper than that(it always does)..........sounds like a cop out to me. but yes, it's crucial that it happened now....you spared yourself years of delusional existence....and probably a more painful divorce.

focus on your career now....i assume you make good money, so start investing and spending a little bit on yourself....treat yourself now more than ever.
