Question: what folder would a log of a conversation be stored on your PC be located?


Would cleaning out the cookies erase any messages?

All I know is AOL IM. It doesn't log. Download a program called AIM+ and AOL IM 4.7. It logs your IM's and chats perfectly. I've heard of a program called DeadAim too. I don't know if it logs or not. I do know bot proggies get rid of AIM ads.

you CAN log on aol, but you have to choose to have the log on during the conversation, i think it was in preferences, or something

Depends on the program, but typically they're stored in the folder of the program itself. For example, with Yahoo, they're stored in your profile directory within the Yahoo directory.
