I'm in love!

My fiance bought a chihahua (sp?) last night. It is a toy chihahua. It is 6 weeks old and only weighs a pound. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I haven't had any pets since I was a kid. The moment I saw her I turned to mush. I must have kissed her little forehead about 100 times last night. She fits into the palm of your hand. She slept on my chest last night. I was leaving the apartment this morning and she was wimpering and it killed me. I might be the worst dad ever when I have kids.

lol...good story.

Good luck with pup.

I remember when i wa growing up and around 8 or 9 years old. My cousins had a black chihuahua named Blackie. He was a mean little dog that would bite you when you weren't looking or expected it.

That sucker bit me one day when I was laying on the floor. I turned around and bit that dog back as hard as I could. Little fucker didn't bother me anymore.

Awww! There's no way you can get a puppy home and not fall in love with it. God makes baby animals so cute so keep them around even when they're a pain in the ass.

Don't feed into that anxiety she gets when you leave. You're going to wind up teaching her to be scared when you go. Give her something to do. Something special she only gets when you go. I either give my dogs a little kong toy with anpb in it (it takes them about 40 minutes to lick that all out) or 2 little iams puppy biscuits with anpb. My dogs went from being anxious and upset when I left to looking at me like "get the hell out of here and gimme my treat". lol

That's a great idea! I don't know anything about taking care of a puppy. It definitely bothered me to see her wimpering and shivering, I thought about sneaking her into work ;) . I need to give her something when I leave to make both of us feel better, it was getting to me. Thanks!

i've seen those toy dogs... they look too small to be a dog and so cute.
:)

One of my friends said it that my rat almost looked like a dog, it is tiny. Cutest damn thing you could ever imagine. I will try to get some pics soon!

No such thing as a "toy" or "teacup" anything. Not even a real breed. It's just selective breeding that makes them smaller and smaller.

Don't you  their HUGE eyes. They remind me of cartoon characters. Try a whelping pad. It's a heating pad for puppies so they can stay warm. Dogs that small get cold fast and they get sick fast too. Keep him warm and dry as much as possible. Also a radio on soflty for noise helps them too. Good luck, Daddy. ;)
