georgie24...what you're going through is exactly the reason i chose to use the Zone diet as my main way to shed BF...i'm not sure what diet you are presently using for your goals, but i will tell you that your present way of eating is NOT balanced...hence the cravings...you require a specific balance for yourself to avoid these sugar escapades...try the Zone (40c-30p-30f)...it will help you lower your BF and keep you in a natural state of thermogenesis...you spend so much $$$'s on gear...so don't let it go to waste to finally realize that you're dissapointed w/ your end results...if you require some help w/ creating some zone meals let me know...GOOD LUCK w/ your cycle...

da big thinker, how is that diet working for you ? I have heard plenty of good things about it....I usually go with 20%fats, 40%carbs and 40%proteins...

thanx for the input bro's da big thinker what would a sample day look like?(meal plan)??

im" suppose" to be doing low-carb at the moment,(50-60grams)

well if you follow The Zone Diet ....Then you will need to get 40% of your calories from carbs so that will not be a low carb diet....

these low carb diets just don't cut it for me...i prefer a more balanced approach to eating...here's my meal plan for the day...

meal#1:
1oz of oatmeal(dry)
40g of protein powder
3 tbsp of unsweetened applesauce
1 cup skim milk
1 apple
1 tbsp of coconut oil or natural peanut butter

meal#2:(pre-workout snack)
1/2 cup of plain yogourt(low fat)
1/2 scoop of protein powder
1 tbsp of natural honey
12 almonds

meal#3:
9oz of crab meat
1 pita bread (whole wheat or multigrain)
1 orange
4 tsps of light mayo
1 tbsp of coconut oil

meal#4:
5 melba toast
3 tbsps of cottage cheese
2 tbsp of coconut oil

meal#5:
6oz sirloin steak
3 cups of steamed broccolli
2 cups of steamed cauliflower
2 tbsp of cocnut oil

meal#6:
2 scoops of MUSCLE MILK
1 cup of skim milk
1 fruit of choice...

basically it looks something like this;i get bored easy, therefore learning how to cook a variety of ways was a necessity for me...i enjoy it and in addition,it's been paying off as far as results...consistency is the key as well as balance so that you can avoid these cravings...in addition, veggie burgers and hot dogs are a great addition to the diet every once in awhile to stimulate the mind into thinking you're cheating, when in reality you're not...they're loaded w/ lots of protein and almost no fat...---fyi---hope this helps in someway...

Just to add something, notice what types of fat Big Thinker is eating...this makes a huge difference!!!

Stay away from saturated fat, and whatever you do, don't even look at hydrogenated Fat(Trans-Fat)!!

I use to diet ay 70-80g of carbs...absolutely pointless. Makes you feel and look like shit.

Now I start with 40/40/20 and then move on to 30/50/20 for most of the diet sometimes going to 20/60/20 for a very shot time.

In order for a diet to work, you need to prepare all the food in advance.

There nothing worse than coming home and realising that you have to thaw out your chicken breasts and then cook it. No way, you're going to reach for your roomates/wifes/gf cookies, chips or whatever else...and then all hell breaks lose.

Rely on "flesh" for food sources, beef, chicken, tuna, salmon, sole fillets... Drop the shakes.

hehe. I just did that last night. I was so tired from work and then I realize there was no chicken thawed. Called up Olive garden and picked up a chicken parmesean dinner. Dammit

Sorry to hear you can't take ECA. It suppresses my appetite better than anything else I’ve found. It does wire me for the first couple of days, but after that it doesn't affect me that way anymore. The appetite suppression part stays with me though. I also like to keep some sugar free jello and instant pudding on hand for those times when the sweet tooth goes active.:p
