I'm going to adopt a pup.....

I went to ARF twice this week, and there was little girl Terrier mix that I just really become attached to. She is white with tan spots and really cute. Somebody found her hiding under a bush near the facility, obviously where some fuck just dropped her off. She is really under weight and I would bet the previous owner abused her. She's pretty timid, but warmed up to me quickly. i really did'nt want that small of a dog, but I really like her and feel I need to get her. I have to call in the morning to see if I get her.
 
I adopted Carly today, and she is the sweetest little dog ever. She is a defenite lap dog, but that is okay. She is adapting to everything quickly, and won't leave my side. I have to take her to vet in the morning. They actually just gave her to me at ARF ,if I accepted responsibility for any health issues. She is a bit malnourished but I'll her fatten up. I started her on some high calorie vitamins today. That should help. She was 8 lbs today. I'll post some pics in my gallery in the morning for those of you who would like to see her. :)

:( Good for you, but it doesn't help me. I miss my dog... big time.. especially onw that my girl is out of town..

FUck I'd kill to have that do around here right nowl.... playing ball and just being my buddy...
 
good stuff. lap dogs are actually pretty fun. around 15-20 lbs is perfect.....big enough to play but small enough to hold
 
I've been alone for a year now. Since I seperated from my ex-wife. I've been a bit lonely lately, so I went to Arf this week and got Carly.

She is figuring out what a toy is still, but she is starting to play with them already. She seems to be housebroken. However abandoned her probably housebroke by beating her. You can tell some pussy was mean to her. I don't see how a person can be mean to such a sweet little dog.

That's awesome dude. Good for you for helping out a not so fortunate dog. Post some before and after pics if you can. Maybe get the dog doing a rear late pose or show off that bicep peak a bit.
 
They were thinking she is no older than 9-10 months. It looks as if she has her adult teeth. I'll put some pics in my gallery when I get a chance.
 
as far as small dogs go, i like weiner dogs....and jack russels are kinda cool too, but usually too hyper

Karma to you for saving that poor baby. I'm sure she's found the loving home she deserves.
I miss my dogs too.
And I can't understand how or why anyone would mistreat an animal either.
 
I rescued my bull terrier Taffy (<<<eyes left) When he was 8 weeks old. Some dickhead couple on a rough housing estate near where i live got him with the plans to train him as an attack dog/pit fighter. He was out in the back garden all the time crying because he was on his own (for fucks sake, he was only just two months old :mad: ) Anyway, the girl got pregnant and they were a bit worried about having a dog and a baby so i stepped in and said id have him.

El Dandy, you did a really good thing. Karma to you. ;)
 
Thanks for all the kind words. Carly did great overnight. I put her in her crate and covered it up and she did not make one sound. I got up at 5 this morning to take her out and have been up with her since. She did not go to bathroom in her crate, which is a great sign, and she goes to the babthroom when I take her and not in the house. Another good sign. :)
 
Really cute puppy.

My mother has an animal rescue. It's amazing the amount of abused/ neglected animals out there!

Congrats and Good Lick (lol) with your new friend!!
