I'm going skydiving for the 1st time

My buddy is turning 30 Saturday and has decided that he and his buddies should go skydiving. Of course I'm a buddy.....

I've never been. So, I'm jacked. I do get a "splat" thought every once in a while though. But it's mostly good.

Did you ever do anything extreme for a birthday?
I went rollerblading down a dock once, fully clothed, at midnight, with all the change in my pockets to see if it was possible to actually swim with roller blades on. You can. It's just tougher.
It wasn't for a b-day though....just for fun and a story.

Whew! I feel better.
I heard if you relax enough you can bounce and that your skull is really strong in one spot. If you land just right you will survive.
I might try that.

Want any tips let me know...I was a 4-way team skydiving videographer for 5 years. It's a blast and once you finally do it your going to find out that there isn't anything you can't do. Jumping out of planes can break the limits of what you hold over your mind. Main two things your gonna hear about jumping your first time is to "Arch" and "Flair". Where are you doing it by the way? and are you going AFF? or tandem?

Washington State. So I hope the rain can hold off for a bit.
Static line I think. There's a 5 hour class and then we go up.
I can't see this being the 1st and last time I go. There's no way.

I'm sure I'll find out saturday, but how long and how much does it take to get a solo certificate?

Be careful of the types of chutes they give you. Just a friendly warning bro, Do NOT accept a chute without a Cylindric Emergency Trigger on it. If they don`t have it, RUN!!! Ask them before you go up. Trust me bro.

It`s your life. CET... I`m sure they have them but ask anyway. Have fun.

I got paid to do it, US Army.

I don't do it recreationally anymore.
But it used to run a group of five of us 40 bucks each for the plane per jump.

I did tandem with the dude strapped to my back (story of my life...). It was fun as hell. Not as big of a rush as the first time I caught a wave surfing tho.

I used to jet ski in the ocean and always wanted to surf after that.
I was thinking about surfing when I signed on EF. That's when I thought of broley as a name. It sounded like a surfer name. Or so I thought. It just made me relize that I don't pay attention
