I just looked at that.

:(

Sad thing is by the time they DECIDE to put us on evacuation there is no fugging place to go. Traffic is jammed up here already so how the hell do you get OUT?

All the shelters are FULL with evacuee's from NO all the Hotels are full. So basically we will be screwed.

Even if she doesn't hit us dead on we will get at minimum Tropical Storm conditions. If she does hit us head on I'm not all that far from the coast. For the last one that hit us before she downgraded they were expecting high surges at the last minute. Had she hit at a Cat4 I'd have been on the roof of my house because we weren't under mandatory evacuation beings she changed so fast.

The models that are predicting Louisiana landfalls have the highest error trend over the past 30 years. But they were all tightly packed together for the previous 24 hours. This may be related to the "wobble" the storm's eye took when it gained Cat5 strength. Just stay on yer toes and hope for the best is all I can offer. :)

Go ahead and put a crowbar and an axe or hatchet in the attic.

I wish this thing would just all of a sudden die.(The hurricane not Frisky)

I'm not sticking around seriously. I wouldn't dare drag my kids thru such disaster.

No matter what the cost to get out of here I'm getting out if it heads this way. I'll freaking get on a plane and fly north.

Hey, just am finally gettting back to a kinda normal pace from Katrina...word to the wise...get the fuck out unless you absolutely have to stay, if you stay, be prepared for 2-3 weeks min without power, get as much water, mres or dry food goods, gas, and clean laundry as you can and hope for the best...it was ugly here and still is pretty chaotic. Good luck Frisk!

They just annocned that its mandatory evacuation on the south side of the main highway and flood prone zones... yeppers thats me.

Sorry hun. Pack up and go, bring as much of your stuff as possible, it might take as long as 2-3 weeks before you can get back if Lafayette takes the brunt of the storm. Be safe!
