Does smoking effect a cycle?? I know it wont help you heal as fast. But can it take potency away from orals or injectables. Thanks for your imput on this .

Good question, I dont smoke, well i used to but I'm 2 yrs smoke free!! I was surprised to learn and see first hand a lot of BBs actually smoked! Very surprising to me

I dont think it affects juice but its not a smart thing to do in general. Why put so much effort into training and eating to just destroy your body with ciggs?

breathing is important. I can tell if someone smokes just by standing next to them, its rare that anyone i encounter at the gym smokes, but there are an isolated amount.

when you do a set your heart rate goes up, your breathing speeds up.. so if you smoke that will hurt your workouts for sure. no doubt about it. also how are you supposed to do cardio with a black lung?

Its just not good for you period. Your going to suffer somewhere for certain,,,its been proven over and over.
I'm sure your health and results would both be better on and off cycle.
 
Ya smoking sux bad but now the rest ive been taking anavar starting at 30mg im a week into it tommorrow. This is my first time but ive been training for ever, im 30 and choose this cause I felt my hard work was there but shit things really started getting routine and just stagnet. So back to what I was trying to get to ive really had a breakthrough feeling on the stuff. No headachs anymore I use to have headachs like 3 or so times a week. None . No anxiety, and mosty I lost the want for cigs ive been going with it but I asked this because I just had a drag for some mindless reason and my heart.rate went up a bit. Enough for me to feel it at a resting heart rate. Im woundering if ive been experencing a test defishency or somthing I have been fighting through the feeling of lathargcy normally but I fight through it because thats how its been for a while. I had blood tests.done for a bunch of stuff through the va but none tested for test. Good news was everything was.great they said. I think im going to request a reading of test levels to see if things are abnormal. I know I need to wait till im done the anavar but how.long after anavar should this be tested to be acurate and not from anavar? Im also woundering how to explain this to a new dr. should I tell him my anavar experence and how I feel or what. I dont see why he would give a shit. I use to tell them I smoked pot and they never cared. Idk these are just thoughts im sharing if you want to comment im all ears for ya. Thanks alot. Steel

Smoking will effect your gains period. I am by no means an experienced lifter but have been an on and off smoker for years and when I quit I grow, breath better and lift harder.. If you really think you need to smoke and can't kick it get an e cigarette
 
^^ there was a guy who had his teeth blown out and half his tongue with an electric cigarette.. just imgaine putting a firecracker in your mouth.

my best advice is get over it and just quit if you want to succeed in this lifestyle. find new friends that don't smoke and don't go to places where people smoke. this is why i avoid Vegas which is a very smoker friendly town.
 
My mother smoked for 40 years and stopped in 1993 and never picked up a cigarette again. 2 years ago she started getting short of breath and to make a long story short , she developed COPD which is caused by smoking. She now cannot go without oxygen full time and is on 4 liters a day continuos flow, and cannot hardly walk. Her lungs are black from the tar and it caused her to have a pace maker installed in August. She is 78 years of age and was fine until she slowed down in life and the tar began to collect in the bottom of her lungs due to her slowing down and becoming less active. As long as someone is active and the lungs are able to expel the tar and gum from the nicotine then people do not suffer any so called problems however as soon as you slow down in life it will KILL you. My mother has outlived the Dr. estimate by 9 months now due to the fact that she smoked. So, Keep on smoking and being addicted to nicotine and I promise you it WILL KILL YOU. For all you in this thread that say oohhhh its so hard to quit . GETS SOME WILL POWER AND QUIT BEING WEAK. I do not feel sorry for anyone that smokes and it makes me angry, to see people blow their smoke in the air for others to breath.OH and BTW: I have already paid for my mothers funeral and had her grave marker already placed at the cemetery because I know Hospice will call me one morning and tell me she is dead.

If you set aside the normal - smoking kill - replies as many enjoy and i am a firm believer of its your body and your life as the irony is are we all 100% sure that AAS and some of the weird and wonderful supps are not as harmful? I am not starting a debate here as possible heart and liver damage that can be caused is that better than lung damage? Anyway IMHO the biggest issue you will have is that smoking is an appetite suppressant (many have used while cutting in the older days believe it or not). The issue is calorie / food intake is imperative and smoking can make that harder

Are we really much healthier than smokers as AAS users?
I don't smoke, but I love my gear and hope it's not going to kill me.
 
Interesting, this is the third thread on smoking I've seen in the past couple of days.

I started smoking in the army as about 70% of infantry soldiers smoke which is ridiculous considering they have the most physically demanding job! I even knew a PTI who used to smoke WHILST he was taking us on a X mile run.

I'm not gonna copy and paste everything I wrote in the other threads but I will say when I've quit (unfortunately never for more than a few months) my fitness has sky rocketed.

well we can juggle things all we want and come up with excuses. bottom line is AAS are hormones which help build muscle, recovery, etc. smoking has no health benefits at all.

if you are healthy and use AAS responsibly then it won't kill you. if you are not healthy and use AAS + you smoke you will hurt your lungs, heart, and other organs.
 
^^^ the tobacco industry spends millions on studies to fool people. as do the dairy industry, sugar industry, alcohol industry and fast food too.

if i even smell cigarette smoke i get ill. thats the only studies i need.

i have no doubt if you are addicted to something and use it then it would be therapeutic to bring you back to feeling good.. but when you go without it you will be depressed. its a dangerous road to go on.

big difference in smoking pure tobacco and smoking a cigarette though .. its pure poison. i will grant you that.. but still inhaling anything will cause your lungs to function worse which will make it more difficult to bring in oxygen into your muscles. as bodybuilders, lifters, and gym rats we need every advantage possible... i would not even work out in a gym that was filthy much less one that allowed smoking
