test n dbol would be a great first cycle. yea hes small dumb and ignorant to the situation but hes gunna do what hes gunna do. I made a similar decision at 18 yrs old at about 150lbs and about 2 weeks in realized that this wasnt what I wanted to do. I ended up on here read everything I could, got my diet in check, then my routine and then I started looking into joose. I ate like a mad man trained like a beast for about 5-6 years gained a solid 60lbs and then decided to take the plunge. Theres a lot of shit that can go wrong and if he is planning to run nolva with deca he clearly isnt educated enough on what he is doing. As for the roid rage its complete BS, if your a hot head in general your a hot head on gear. Im laid back and yea my temper is a little shorter when Im on but I aint slappin bishes n starting fights, although the urge is there.

Only problem you'll have is keepin up with his sex drive. Test turns me into a 24/7 plumber. keep him happy youll be happy. ooo and hopefully your not the jealous type cuz joose give you that alpha male mentality n girls seem to be all over that.

On that note post up some pics or your really the bf looking for advice ;)

thanks. that was the first thing i told him when he told me he was doing it. but either way i just want to know what is the worst that could happen you know. like lets say something goes wrong, what is the worst that could happen...besides dying of course.

Just one bit of advice..and maybe someone said this already....but..you can really help your boyfriend by relieving him frequently. He is going to need a lot of sex, so expect to play the role of nympho for a while. Just saying....and not meaning to be disrespectful in anyway.

Like everyone else said...make sure he is eating like 5-7 times a day...has at least minimally 1 gram of protein per pound of weight...and this goes without saying even if he is not on anything. Actually 1.5 grams might be better...and water...lots of water...and electrolytes.

I'd take a look at every aspect, one missing ingredient and that cake in the oven will not rise!

What's his workout plan? Is he doing squats, deads, lunges... overhead press, flies... bicep curls, kickbacks, dips.... incline/reg/decline bench.... ie compound movements or is he doing machines? At that size, he should be doing compound movements, as one bodybuilder once said- the body doesn't know muscles, it knows movements. search youtube for mark rippetoe, he's the king of teaching the squat- probably the best leg exercise ever.

He could be overtraining or undertraining. Everyone has to find the right number of days between working a muscle out.

For the diet, determine his optimal calorie intake and then procede to count calories
I recommend a 40:30:30 diet (% of protein to carbs to fat).
6:1 omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid
50-100g dextrose after workouts with protein shake
1-1.5g protein per day per kg bodyweight
2:3 salt to potassium ratio
4:1 calcium to potassium ratio

Say I just did a workout and its time for post workout protein shake. I figure out how much protein I want to take, say 40 grams.

40 grams * (4 calories / 1 gram protein)= 160 calories
then since my target is 30% protein, 160 calories / x calories = 0.30, where x is my total meal calories (trying to find x)
solve for x, in this case its 533 calories

At this point its just plugging numbers in to determine all the other quantities

for the 40% carbs:
533 * 0.4 = y,
y ends up being 213 calories of carbs.
Then to get grams: 213 calories * (1 calorie / 4 grams of carbs) = 53g of carbs

Then for fat:
533 * 0.3 = z.
z calculates to 160. Then to get grams: 160 calories * (1 calorie / 9 grams of fat) = 18g of fat

Then for omega6's qty: 5/6 * 18 = 15g of omega6 and 3g of omega3

I always see an RDA of potassium that looks rediculous (to me), so I always just wing it when I pour in my potassium gluconate. I try for about half to a full tsp, eyeballing it. The ratios I posted came from my college nutrition course.

^^^ what he said

if his diet isnt on point, hes wasting his time working out n his money on the gear bc he'll stay at 150...it seems at 5'11 150 he isnt to concerned with his diet.

n jesus christ why can I put a thread up at 9am and have 6 pages of replies by 1130

Let's assume for the sake of argument we're past the he's too young, he's making a bad decision, he needs his training, diet and rest dialed in before considering gear, and that your bf, or you if that's who you're really asking for, is going to run gear no matter what. If you're genuinely concerned about his health, nobody on here can really help you with some quick "do this and everything will be fine". Bodybuilding and all aspects of it are immensely complex and it's not as simple as many people who lack experience think where if you lift weights you'll get bigger and if you take steroids you'll get even bigger and faster. He will need to get on here himself because using gear can be incredibly dangerous and it does not sound as if he understands the potential ramifications of the choice he is making. Could cause permanent health problems, could find himself with crappy PCT and shutting down so he runs more gear to try to feel better and really messes himself up, could destroy his liver, could have a ton of potential issues.

If the concern is his personality and how he will behave, I agree with Strongbow, in particular, that gear is essentially an amplifier for someone's personality. He better make dang sure his head is on straight before running any gear because when his personality is cranked up to 11 (probably too young for the Spinal Tap reference) he better have the wherewithal to recognize what is going on and the discipline to deal with it like it's no big deal.

At the end of the day, people here want to help and will help, but if you're looking for a short few sentences that will illuminate everything that could occur or predictions of how things will go, it's simply not possible. The gist is that without him coming on here we can't give too much input other than it sounds as if he should get substantially more knowledge and experience before running gear and on the other end there's no telling how he will act but if he turns into a complete over the top maniac, do the smart thing and get the heck away from him. When people show you what they are like, believe them the first time.

I don't post much here. I am more of a lurker...but I always learn things here. Best place I have ever come for lifting, workout advice...diet...etc.

So if anything...even if you don't exactly like what some of these guys say, you have come to the right place. I've been lifting most of my life....and I learn stuff every day here.

I think he can grow faster naturally on a good diet with a good training plan, than he could with gear and the current way he is doing
