I'm 26. What should I be taking now?

I want to stay young looking and young feeling.

Right now I eat right, work out a lot - both cardio and resistance training.
I take a daily stack of glucosamine, chondritine, and MSM for joints.
At night I apply a Qe10 facial cream. During the day I use one that reduces the oil and glare normally on my face (my face is kind of oily).

My BF is low (8 or less) and I usually get 8 hours of sleep. I don't smoke or drink alcohol. My diet is rich in protein, low glycemic carbs, and healthy fats. I take 5 fish oil caps a day.

Any suggestions as far as extra stuff?

My 'for life' stack includes:
Fish oil - 3+g's of EPA/DHA
B-Complex
N-Acetyl-l-Cysteine - 1g
ALCar -3+g's
r-ALA - 300-600mg's and Green tea extract 2+g's + Green tea brewed

Everything else just makes your piss more expensive, and I am skeptical of r-ALA - I'm taking it due to its anti-ox properties as opposed to glucose assimilation (not sure I would want that at all) :o

BTW, are you saying you have CoQ10 facial cream? Where do you get that, and is the effect systemic or simply localized to rejuvenate/reconstruct facial skin or is it both (that'd be nice)?

Where do you purchase all this stuff ? Can you buy it online ?

Thanks

Yeah, what is all that stuff, Juve? What does it do?

And...why are you so damn intelligent? Do you major in any of these fields you seem so knowledgable in?

The facial stuff is the Nivia for Men. I rub it all over my face and neck. Their similar product for oil control is what I use during the day. They both seem to work well locally. I'm not sure beyond that what good they do.

BTW - I think you should throw some VitE in that stack for life. Good for your skin.

Synpax,
You seem to be well on the right road already. IMO, I'd add Vit C, Vit E, and a basic multivit'mineral, if you're not already. These are relatively inexpensive, and there's been plenty of reasearch behind them.

Plenty of green tea wouldn't hurt either.

It's fairly easy to go bananas in the supplement department, but you gotta wonder went it's just turning into expensive piss. I've cut down most of my supplements, and right now it's just:
Multivit/min, once a day
1000mg Vit C, morning/night
400 IU Vit E, morning/night
50 mg Zinc, night
800mg Magnesium, night
Wild Salmon oil caps, 1g, morning.

Mikemartial -

I actually forgot to mention it, but I already am on a multi and a Vit E. I think I'd like to add vit B and C some more.

My current multi is a CVS brand that kind of stinks compared to GNC but I dislike shopping at GNC. Do you know something as good / cheaper / better than what GNC has?

I use a Jameison brand myself---you can buy it pretty much anywhere, as far as large/cheap brands go, it's fairly good.

Despite what the boys at GNC say, their's isn't the best. It's one of the weakest I've seen. I took a bottle of my Nu-life in there to compare, and the sales dude got a bit defensive :) I actually don't buy much of anything from them right now.

Best brand (IMO) that makes a multi-vit is Nu-life---expensive, but probably the most complete multi that I've come across. Health-food stores carry it here, and I think it's a Canadian company.

But...I'm kinda at the point now of cutting my costs on stuff, other than to just cover my bases. Like I said, it's way too easy to go bananas.

Yeah I think on good track.. I agree with adding multi , C and E along with perhaps omega/fish oils.. I would also apply sunscreen as often as possible. Try to use a daily face lotion with a good sunscreen... Try to get occassional massages something to relax and relieve tension.. want no wrinkles sleep on your back!!
