Ignorant People SUCK! This pissed me off!

Long story short, my fiance had cancer, now in remission, she asked a cancer board about anabolics and this is what one of the members wrote to her, I then wrote back explaining the truths, but I was told to leave the board, for not giving FACTs, although, I did, and the lady gave old wives tales!

Hi SheHulk. Are you referring to anabolic steroids such as those used to bulk up muscles in weight-training and lifting? If so, I don't think that type of steroid is used for cancer treatment, but it's use may contribute to cancer formation. Remember Lyle Alzedo (sp?), the pro-football player? He died a few years ago of a malignant brain tumor which was brought on by his use of anabolic steroids to bulk up. Personally, I think AS's are very dangerous in other ways too. They can cause rage problems and general change in personality as well. We hear periodically of some high school or college athlete who has commited a crime of assault or murder who has been on AS's which has contributed to their rage.

Best be careful if you are using them with your work-outs. Two of my sons are personal trainers and will not recommend AS's to their clients. If they find that a client is using AS's, they discontinue their training relationship with that person. There are too many risks.

Excuse me, but you are talking about anabolics. These are not the type of steroids used in cancer treatments. Get off your high horse young man!

The world is full of uneducated people. My opinion wasn't based on facts, but that lillian ladies were? I am abusive for putting the word bs in my reply? I replied to all of them with this:



The member who sent that reply did not send any proof for her biased opinions, did she? I gave facts, and I don't believe she did at all. I feel it is potentially dangerous for someone to be giving out false information on things that could help somebody. I thought that's what a board like this was for, to help. I guess I was wrong. I would like to be taken off the list. I would rather be part of a board that trys to help members with truths, not hide in the shadows protected by myths, and old wives tales. I hope none of your members get hurt. - C3

Lyle Alzedo aside, you'd better be damn sure AAS won't have an effect on cancer cells in remission. Are you?

I didn't post to them that it is for everyone. It just ticked me off that they are letting that lady post old wives tales, that it can cause people to murder, etc. My fiance was giving anabolics and hgh as part of her treatment, and it helped keep her alive, as well as other people in her hospital. God forbid one of those people reads that ladies story about it causing tumors, and can drive you to murder, and then decline help that a doctor might offer.

guys... keep in mind the SLEW of drugs that the government classifies as anabolic steroids. We have to remember that most of the general stereotypes are based on test. If someone can get some documentation on whether AS are beneficial to cancer patients.. then i say we all just barage this lady with emails so that she can open up her mind and understand that big brother isn't always right.
