IGF-1 question?

I am on it now brotha!!! I do drink a carboforce and a pro-shake or a pro-shake with maltodextrin.

I like around 40-50 grams of carbs and 20-30 grams of protein!

I have experimented with less and even a little more. With less I felt my pumps were not as good. With more I really did not notice anything different!

What about having 0 carbs. Would it cause blackouts, fainting, etc,......

Where r all the gurus?

Personal experience here, the answer is no. I dont take any extra carbs in when I take my IGF injection. I do eat a full dinner though before I take the shot, which is pre-workout. I eat dinner and then take the IGF about 1 hour after I started dinner. I have never felt like my blood sugar is low. After I workout I do an insulin injection where I take in 5g of dextrose/IU of insulin.

I dont use them, no, and no worries of going hypo, has not affected my sugar at all as rumored in the past.

So I can take it as soon as I wake with no food and I'll be fine? I train on an empty stomache with no probs.

Maxx this is a great question. I have posted it on 3 other boards. I have not gotten a confirmation one way or the other.

I asked specifically in order to maximize gains what should be taken post injection. Some said a high gi carb pro drink, some said low gi carb clean protein meal. Obviously if it is post work out u go with the high gi pro drink...but what about 1st thing in the morning or pre workout. Does any one know what is best?

No you wont have problems, might want to make sure your sugar levels are not naturally low before doing so, just to be safe, but my levels usually stay solid. I take first thing in am on non workout days, and first thing in am, and pre workout, on workout days.

No carb loading, usually drink a muscle milk in the car on the way to work.

What if you are hypoglycemic to begin with?

Personal experiance has shown me it really doesn't mess with blood sugar, but since it's still a widely publicised claim, I would watch blood sugar levels CLOSELY if you're already hypo, check before and after, keep something close by incase you do go hypo, and for Gods sake dont do it before you go to sleep. It may effect others in a different way, but my research tells me you dont have to worry about that like you do with Insulin.
