I'm going to have to voice some disagreement here. The one girl that I'm really attracted to, I don't find physically attractive at all. Zero, that's why I broke up with her. Now if I could put her personality in some of my ex's bodies I'd already be married.

I could never really see how those statements could be true myself, until I met her. She makes me laugh, and completely spoils me. I really understand how girls can be with totally ugly guys but say it makes a huge difference if he can make you laugh.

That being said, I'm still looking for a girl because, and lots of her friends say, I'm shallow. I just want a good looking girl, and because I don't have alot of time, we have to share similar interests - snowboarding, working out, mountain biking, surfing, etc.

That's what it comes down to. Physical attraction is always a factor, but personality will ultimately decide whether that initial attraction lasts.

There has to be some sort of physical attraction, especially when you meet a stranger. If there wasn't, how the hell would you decide who to go up and talk to.

The last guy I went on a date with was not someone that some members of this board would even consider acceptable because he was overweight. But you know what? His personality made him damn sexy. I think that if you are attracted to what makes that person a person, then you will be attracted to them period.

To me, it seems like you are more concerned with finding someone that will be more pleasing to the eye and making you look like you can get whoever you want. That's not what a relationship should be based on.
