what city would be the best? I'm in the Eastern part of the USA. What city would be closest to me where I can find some good deals and get back across with the least odds of problems?
Also, any word on customs inspections since 9/11? I thought about mailing a lot of it back to me.

From what I hear getting stuff mailed from mexico is nearly impossible. That combined with the gas to get there its a hell of a lot easier and cheaper to but from a domestic.

This guy i know flew to Mexico City. He said there wasn't shit there. He flew t o Monterey and nada. Went to TJ and he hit the mother load as far as quantity..

He said there were just as many counterfeits as there were legit items. And the prices were so-so. Sten $4.50 Sus redi-jects $6 He was spending 25k. So this was no small quantity buy.

He didn't even bother buying.

Not worth the money.

I was honeymooning in Cancun and I saw a fair amount of gear displayed in cases of everyday drug stores. Same story, prices so-so. And the risk of smuggling is too high.

Just get a good domestic source and try to get quantity discounts.
I've seen sources give pretty good prices when quantity is involved, they're businessmen afterall.

k_freak--in the past 6 months ive been to T.J. 3 times and everytime brought alot of stuff---make sure you drive your car across and it is better to have only white people in the car--you will be fine---total of 6 times to T.J. and never a problem--once i had a problem and it was because i wasnt driving my car--i borrowed a car but all they did was search my car a little bit but i didnt get caught--if your smarter than a ape and hid good you will be cool!!
