If you had an apt in college, where did you work?

If you supported yourself in college, paid for your apt, food, gas, insurance, etc..., were did you work? I'm trying to find a way to move out on my own, but know there is no way I can with the job I have now. What kinds of jobs can I get that I'll be able to pull in around $1000 a month and still attend school fulltime? All my friends that live on their own are getting either everything paid for or about half of their stuff paid for by their parents. This is not an option for me, my parents will help me with nothing.

I have an associates degree in computer science from the local community college and am currently taking classes at the University of Oklahoma majoring in MIS. I dunno if having an associates degree could open some more doors to me or not.

HELP ME FIND A WAY OUT OF THIS F'N HOUSE!!!!

Just do like I did: work as a DJ. Thats about 250$ every night so basically working 2-3 nights a week should be enough. Otherwise did you consider male stripping ?

I DID AND MY PARENTS DIDNT HELP ME WITH ANYTHING EITHER. HOWEVER, I DIDNT HAVE A JOB WHEN I HAD MY APT. I MANAGED MY MONEY WELL.

If you are working at the gym where you are at.. there should be no problem for you to become a bartender/barback or even a bouncer. I paid for my bills and manage my money quiet well for my bills, food, gas, etc. I was up until 2,3 sometimes four in the morning 4 nights a week and was still able to attend school and pull a 3.0 GPA for the semester. Of course, you can attend school from 11-2 straight then go to work at 5-9 or whatever hours you want to do at your gym and then go from there to the bar to work. The best thing about being a bouncer.. you can still do your homework while working... it is not a tough job.. you basically get paid to sit there, throw out people when they are too drunk and throw people out for trying to start fights or any other reason you feel like kicking them out for! When a bouncer at a bar... it is your world and you control it <for the most part>!

I delivered pizza for the best, most popular pizza joint on campus. Cash only operation. Worked four nights a week and my worst week was $350 ... cash only = tax free. Bartending is a great option, but can be hard to break into good shifts (also hard to get because it's easy to scam and current campus bartenders usually don't give these jobs up until graduation or termination/prosecution, whichever comes first).
