I live in a pretty upscale community of 70% white and 30% mixed races. What I notice is that people who reach a certain ecconomical state in there life blend more together on that level then on cultural levels. It's like if the Jone's have a mercedes then you better at least get a Lexus. There is an arrogance that is really sad that I see from my neighbors. Most of them don't even know there neighbors names.

well initially when they moved in they were less then welcome and formed communities in the cheaper area's together, forming ghetto's and then moved out of them together

now tolerance is a bit better its nice to see these things all mixed up....

muslims and jews are funny in that regard as they like to keep things clan-nish (i.e. within the community), they (muslims) cite the moral decay of the western world as reasons for doing it

I don't really care about living with the same race per se, I'd rather live with people who were in my same socio-economic group, indpendent of ethnicity.

I know what you mean. I spent most of ly teenage years in the South West of England. People there are racist through total ignorance. Thats one of the reasons that I moved away........

Of course it works both ways. Some of the Pakistani's where i live (they are in the majority) are seriously racist. Not all.........just too many.
