With everything in it? Credit Cards driver`s license etc... Cash!!!

Would you call the guy and/or mail it to him or something? I would.

I`ve always heard that too, But that would defeat the purpose of being a good bro. Suck it up and give the whole thing back you`ll feel MUCH better, Trust me.

Yes I would and have. I would hope that someone would do the same in return, but I have to live with what I do. :)

Depends on your morals , but if that's the general rule. If you broke then take the cash and return the rest , if you are wealthy then return everything.

I did that about a decade ago. A lady dropped her ID holder in the parking lot of the local mall and I found it. I didn't search the thing for cash since the first thing I saw was her security card that allows access to her workplace. It was walking distance from the mall so I trekked over there and got a big hug from her as a reward.

I'd give it back with everything in it.

If I lost my wallet I actually wouldn't care if someone returned it without the money in it. I'd be grateful they returned the wallet atleast.

I have found wallets on two different occasions and returned them both - one guy couldn't thank me enough - the other guy said $8 was missing from it and accused me of taking it

Definitely...bad karma otherwise.

I agree but if it had a lot of cash it would be a painful decision. But Ibeleive It would cost me more not to return it via karma

i'm BIG on karma.. unless the person was dead, i'd return it no doubt.

tiger u got my wallet?? lol i sold mine on ebay already dude like a wk ago :P

I would go to great lengths to return it. If it had thousands, temtation would cross my mind though. I probably have had days when I would have slipped out a few bucks out of desparation. I have been very broke many, many times.

I'd like to think I'd hold it for a few days then return it minus cash, unfortunately i'd probably return it as I found it.

agreed!

What really made me mad about the guy accusing me of taking his $8 is that three days earlier, I lost like $200 in the parking lot of Hooters

depends on how much cash is in it. If its only 20 bucks Id send it all back but over 50 and its coming back empty

I found one last year, the guy was most appreciative when it was returned....There was like $40 in there, not much temptation.

I do know a guy who found $40,000 that fell off of an armored truck, He returned that, and they didn't give him a damn penny......

A lot of people seem to have this type of thinking. I`m not saying it`s good or bad, Just want to point out that it`s like the "If no one ever found out, would you..." type question. So these people are saying they would keep the money because the owner will never know WHO really took the money, Was it someone else that found the wallet and left it there, then you picked it up?

So you are safe and untouchable with the facts of anyone ever finding out who really took it. Plus, You get another benefit of being a "nice guy" and returning the wallet at the same time as taking the money. WHAT A PAYOFF!!! (for you)

I would return a wallet with everything in it....

If there was a $100 dollars laying on the street, it would be in my pocket though...:)

Yes I would return it.. and I hope someone would do the same for me.

Just think if that's all the money you had to pay your rent.

WTF......$40,000 fell off a armour truck? Yea right and i had a threesome with Britney and Jlo last night.

I have done things of this sort in the past. Returned EVERYTHING/went back and paid for things that I was accidentally not charged for when no one realized that I did this... EXCEPT ME, that is. Oh and, at these points, I most certainly DID need the money and I HAD HAD money stolen from me which put me in a bad situation in the notsodistant past.

Call me a sucker, but for me it is all about karma (real karma).

I truly believe, that whatever energy you send out will be returned 3 fold. When bad things happen to me, I do find a way to look at them as character building situations for me. The only difficulty I have with things like this is how the bad things that happen to me as a result of my own kindness and desire to "do the right thing" hurts those that I love.

definately- with everything in it. Wouldnt want bad Karma in the event Karma exists. Besides- Imagine the relief the person who lost it would feel to know that there was a good person on the planet. There are too many dicks on this planet. why be a dick.

I would return it. I left my wallet on the roof of my car at the grocery store. Got home and couldn't find it. Went back up to the store and looked around the grocery carts thinking that I left it in there. Nope. Looked around where I parked. Nope. Went to the front desk and asked. Nope. So I went home and looked all over again. At this point I was realy flipping out b/c I had all my credit cards. I decided to go up there one more time. A older man who was a bagger there asked what I was looking for. I said I lost my wallet. he said he just turned it into the front desk. Got up there and everything was still in it. I thanked the man and told him if I would have had cash on me, i would have give him some.

I would return it all.

I once found 60 bucks in the back machine. I stood there for like a minutes deciding wether-or-not i was going to keep it. After much strugle, i went to the teller inside the back and told her someone left the money in the machine. I felt good about the whole thing.

Lost wallets are my primary retirement savings.

I would return it with everything in it when I was in Tennessee one weekend. I say that because it happened to me. I lost my wallet with EVERYTHING in it, cash (close to 600 bucks), credit cards, etc...

I received a package in the mail postmarked from Tennessee. In it contained my wallet and a note from what seemed to be an old lady. It said...

"I found your wallet at the ballfield. I hope you don't mind, but I used 3.75 of your money to mail the package. Have a nice day.

Sincerely,
Mrs. So and So"

So yes, I would return it with everything including the cash.
