If you are not feeling well.........

try SAM-e. It helps the mood, liver functions and joints. Perfect for the EF crowd.

It has worked for me, I usually feel bad when the days turn short, dark, and cold.

Not this year. I feel like I am 22.

Hope this helps someone.

It is not ultra cheap though. I buy Nature Made at Costco and 80 tablets is about $45. I use 1/day.

Pretty cheap way to feel better.

I'm sure the pharma industry wants to grab control of it though.

Yup took it once and noticed a bit of improvement in joints and mood. Expensive however. You can use milk thistle, msm, and a few other things and probably spend less to get the same effects.

Here is a description I pulled from a website:

SAM-e (S-adenosylmethionine) is a dietary supplement that has been clinically shown to support and promote joint health, mobility and joint comfort* as well as mood and emotional well-being.*

SAM-e is a naturally occurring compound found in all living organisms. In humans, SAM-e is distributed throughout the body and is involved in many important biochemical reactions. SAM-e is critical in the manufacture of joint cartilage and in the maintenance of neural cell membrane function.

Because significant amounts of SAM-e are not readily available through the diet, the body is responsible for making its own SAM-e. Scientists know that certain groups of people including the elderly have low levels of SAM-e in their bodies. For many reasons, it is important to maintain proper levels of SAM-e in the body.

SAM-e is popular in Europe where doctors have administered it for over 20 years. The benefits of SAM-e have been demonstrated by its long term commercial use. Short and long-term clinical studies show that SAM-e is a very safe and non-toxic product in levels of supplementation of up to 1,600 mg a day.*
