what more could you do with regard to diet and training? I am wondering this because in a recent thread about Janet Jackson's recent, amazing transformation, there was more than one comment that stated that with unlimited resources and time, it is easier for stars to make these transformations.

I know there are lots of people on ef who have fantastic physiques despite the fact that they work full time, have kids, etc.

I was thinking lots about this, and I was thinking that even with unlimited time or money, one can still only work out so many hours in a day and can only eat so clean, etc.

Okay, short of plastic surgery and drugs, what more can you do?

I don't think it would make much of a difference for me. Two hours of working out/day would be my max regardless of time or money, I think. Would I eat more clean if I had unlimited money? Maybe I would hire a chef, but I doubt it.

What do you guys and gals think? Would you/could you do anything differently?

I would hire someone to make all my clean/low cal meals for me.
I would have the best damn home gym on the planet (I hate going to the gym)
I would swim in my GIGANTIC pool in my back yard every day
If I did not have to work, I also would spend more time in the gym b/c I would be less tired from working all damn day!

Yeah, the less tired thing would probably be key for lots of people. I used to work crazy hours and was just spent by the time I got home.

It's easier only because you would have very little excuse not to succeed.

If you have someone to:

Train you
Cook and feed you
Medical supervision
Stylist to clothe you so you 'd feel better about your new body

Basically tell you what to do and when with 24 hour, 7 day support I don't see how you could fail.

Its not hard. If you really want to make the changes you can do it.
If you are lazy you will not.
I am lazy and I am not making a lot of changes right now. At some point this summer I will be in sick shape and no drugs will be involved. I will not have a personal trainer or chef involved either.

That is pretty much my point, slat. I don't think that it would make much of a difference for me if time and money were no object. You still have to want it badly enough to do it.

As a side note -

I have a wonderful client who is at least 100lbs over wieght.

She has 4 children 9-14, and 3 live-in helpers, a nanny, a chef and a cleaning lady - the chef and the nanny travel with them from house to house and the nanny on holidays.

Since her husband is very successful in his field and they have the a lot of freedom to do things because of "money".

There is little reason that she should be over weight other than just not caring.

She is such funny bubbly intelligent woman - and beyond basic vanity there's health reasons why being that overweight is bad.

Yes, Velvett. That is what I mean. She would still have to put in the work.
