if there were no heaven or hell...

would you change your life, now?

Without a heaven or hell, there is nothing to look forward to, so you'd be more inclined to live this one as best you can.

Right?

It's not the fear of hell, nor the need of going to heaven that makes me a moral person. It's my nature to act kindly towards others and treat people like I would like to be treated.

I live life by not expecting heaven or hell, rather, hoping for it.

to me, the answer is obvious - and to others, it is just as obvious - but a different answer.

it is all relative.

but I tend to look at it from a poli sci standpoint in the origins.

whatever works for you though...

Now that is profound. I will carry that statement with me for awhile. I will think it over.

I think I ponder my place in the whole scheme of things way too often. Instead of waiting to discover some purpose in life, I've made it my mission to be the best I can be, as a person, and be remembered for that.

Right?

Ive gone through this once before

Heaven and Hell is simply an illusion

If when you die you lose all capacity as a human to feel emotion because the sources of these emotions cease to function, how can heaven or hell possibly exist?

It cannot because it is sourced from your emotional perception, heaven is good, hell is bad.

Good and bad only exist within your emotions.....

I make no apologies for the way I live my life. I treat people with respect and I usually get respect in return. If they don't treat me the same, it's a reflection on them not me.

I don't worry about being rewarded in the afterlife, for my actions here. If I spent my time worrying about heaven and hell, and basing my actions on those principles, then I would not be true to who I am. And that would be a bigger problem to me.

No heaven or hell....basically the jewish philosophy, no?

Life should be lived like there is a heaven and hell, even if there isn't. It's the right way to live. I don't always succeed in living my life the right way, but I can say when I don't, I do know better.
