IE suddenly doesn't spawn new windows

I used to be able to click File, New, Window and a new browser window would be created, now it is suddenly not working. Also certain links that spawn new windows, like clicking on someones gallery, no longer work, it just eats up the original window, with the back button grayed out so I can't even get back to whatever post I was reading.

I ran some spyware removers and HJT, so it doesn't seem to be caused by spyware or a virus, it must be a setting. Anyone know how to change it?

Did you install (on purpose) a pop up blocker? If not, Spyware may have installed it for you. Try holding down your CTRL key while clicking a link you KNOW would normally spawn a new window.
