Currently i attend a Foundation Degree course in Chester, England in fitness and Health. I will be allowed to top it up with a third year to a full Honours Degree in sports development after the first two years. During the course i will become qualified to work as a personal trainer. The qualifications i will recive are CYQ Level 2 in Fitness Instructing and Level 3 in Personal training.
My question now is, what are some great top ups additionaly to the Personal Trainer ones. Because it is just not enough to be a personal trainer. To stand out of the crowd i'd like to have some addional qualification.
The Foundation Degree cost me £1259 for each year of the first two.
Third year will cost me £3100
The CYQ Level 2 in Fitness Instructor will cost me £300
The CYQ Level 3 In Personal training will cost me £650

By the way i get some fundings by the goverment to eb able to continue studing to higher education.

What i thought about getting are those listed below:

1. Complete Mat Pilates Level 3 award with Future Fit. Cost £1399
2. Nutrition Specialist with Future Fit: Cost £1154
3. NVQ Level 3 in Instructing Physical Activity and Exercise with future fit. Cost £999
4. Circut Trainer Level 2. Cost approxamitely £300
5. ASET Level 3 Sports Massage Award with stonebridge college. Cost £285
6. ASET Level 3 Sports Injuries Award with stonebridge college. Cost £285
And maybe also get the qualification FA Coaching in Football (Soccer) Level 3

My plan was to get those qualifications over the next 2-3 years. I like to know what you guys think about those qualifications. Maybe you have some really good ideas which are far better than what i'd like to do.
I really appreciate it, if you lot tell me your opionion.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hey Krautboy -
Yeah, I gotta say I don't agree with your line of upsells to the training -
It's just going to dilute your training knowledge and skill -

You probably know this already, but training is a lucrative career in itself -
Just find a particular specialty and market yourself in it - mastery comes
pretty quickly, and then you can move on to other things in this career,
like education or opening a facility or something like that -

Adding things on to your training seems on the outside like a good idea and
even a lot of fitness business coaches will tell you to do things like that,
but from being in the business and talking to a lot of the world's best trainers
on my blog, I'll tell you it's something nobody does -

What you can do is refer them to other professionals, who will then refer
clients back to you - this is the way to go - just over time get in touch with
every single person in your area that offers related services and nurture these
relationships -
