Ideal temperature for vigorous exercise?

Lumberg

New member
Hey guys I am trying to find information on what is the ideal ambient temperature for exercise. I heave heard it has to be warm enough that you don't pull a muscle and cool enough that you don't overheat.

Any official figures on this? Websites?

I really like it in the high 60's with the sun shining and a little breeze, cool enough to not overheat but still very comfortable

i'll say around 60 degrees or a little warmer.

I would say 68 would be a good compromise between oldster who think 2# curls are exercise and hardcore people.

Did you know that the best marathon performances happen at a heat index of 51 degrees F?

Lard tends to remain solid at below room temp... does that help?

I'm asking because the fitness center at my work is way too damn hot and I need some credible sources to back up my request that they improve the A/C over there.

I'm just messing bro. The AC in my gym has been broke for two weeks, but what the hell, it's free.

What is your climate like now?

My best stamina I ever had was when I worked out in -18F. But the soreness was a bitch...

When I did tree-felling for a while the optimum temp was about -5 Centrigrade. That was hard work........

Lumberg check out the Union rules.....they normally give good guidelines.
