I'd like your input on behaviour.

let's say you are talking with someone on the phone, and you finish talking for the moment, but the other person agrees to call you later on after doing some things. this person gives you an estimate of 40 minutes. granted, this is approximate and you will give that person some leeway.

so...how much time would you give that person to call you again, reasonably? how long before you think something is up, or think to yourself that this length of time is now unacceptable, and perhaps get annoyed (assuming there's no important reason for the other person's delay) ?

I'd say 60 mins. However, I wouldn't hold everything else to wait for that. I tell people I'll call them later all the time, even if I have no intention to.

If someone says, "Call you back in 5 minutes," then they better fucking call in 5 minutes, or 40 minutes, or whatever timeframe they gave. Time is time.
