I Was Fucking SCAMMED!!!

i got my phone bill today, and when i opened it up, i saw a $32 charge for some fucking company i never heard of.

so i call up this company that billed me, and the guy was telling me some lady in the same town, different address, different zip, etc. was on their billing information, but i was being billed.

it was for some fucking ISP, that i sure as hell never used.

after blowing steam at them for a few minutes, they promised to reimburse me and to send a letter in the mail.

now, i need to call my phone company and let them know what the fucking is going on here, because i dont want them calling me up asking where their fucking money is.

what the fuck is this shit? has it happened to anyone else here?

sorry, this is an ISP, and until i find out who did this, and how it was done, im not going to say the company's name.

it isnt some company i ever heard of, that's for sure.

ISP's do this kind of crap all the time. Many get fined for this all the time. Please report them to your states Public Utilities Commission so they can press the proper charges.

The theiving ISP's know most people just glance at their phone bill and then pay it without going over it. If you contact your regular phone company they should be able to help you get rid of the charge. I promise, if you bitch enough someone will help you.

If its just an error it should be fairly easy for your regular phone company to help you get it removed.

Also, if you dont have one already, tell the service rep that you want a passcode on your account that has to be given before any information is given out and has to be given in order to make ANY changes to the account.

I've seen the cheesy ass "whiner" phone companies change people's phone company or long distance for them.....or try anyway.

There are also options on pay sites to charge the membership to your phone bill. So I guess if they can do it, an ISP could too.

i know alot of porn sites offer to let you pay the bill on your phone by temporarily signing you up to there ISP and charging you a one time fee, or sometimes by the minute if they are really scamming you.
