in terms of HTML - you should go ahead and take it a step further and learn something truly useful - learn DHTML (dynamic html).
the book "Dynamic HTML, The Definitive Reference" 2nd Edition by O'Reilly press is one of the best ones out there.
you can learn from it and use it for reference.

Once you get the hang of dhtml, you should really take 5 minutes and learn CSS. It's a lot better than using crappy html tables. Here's a good tutorial:
