I want a chest like arnold

id say just make sureto get the best workout once a week, mad inclined press and declined to get a chest like arnolds lol. Arnold had been shaping his chest since he was like 14 so if you have that much time than don't worry if not that i don't think you can get a chest like arnold no offence but arnold is a one of a kind. good luck anyways and remember nothin can replace hard work.

You can't really change the shape of a muscle, all you can do is make it bigger. Just lift heavy, eat some good food, rest, and grow. Also, work your WHOLE body, especially your back if you want to have a chest.

Well, unless your parent's names are Aurelia and Gustav Schwarzenegger, then you will never have a chest like Arnold. All of your muscle shapes are determined by your genetics. You can make what you have larger or smaller through training, or lack of, but you can't change the shape.

As for your inner pec problem, just keep blasting with heavy inclines, lot's of food and rest. In time it will either fill out, or it won't. Sadly thats the best anyone can do with a weak bodypart. Good luck.

agreed, grape juice is a good source of glucose for after working out.

If you want chest mass try adding on some isolation movements at the end of your chest routine (like dumbell flys or cable work). I have also found that benching with dumbells hits my chest more directly (but shoulders/back somewhat less) than using the bar.

good luck

as long as it tastes great.

and on topic, yeah, add in dumbbell chest presses, like stated above. really helped me with my chest.

Ditto genetics.

- Flyes are worthless (you can't work the inner pec).

- Dumbell presses, while a good movement, are nothing magical (your muscles only know they're experiencing tension, so you may as well use a barbell).

said perfectly

Debaser - wrong! Flys are actually EXCELLENT, esp. is heavy dbells are used....really bring in the fullness of the pec.....

nothing fancy is needed, I would say I have a pretty good chest, and all I've ever done was flat bench, incline dumbell press, and incline dumbell flyes. I have always found cables or machines to be a complete waste time when I could have been doing a big free weight exercise

Nah, it's mostly fructose, actually.

I was under the impression that (real) grape juice (as in not the kind whose first ingredient is apple juice....yes most bottled grape juice is like this) has all of its carbs from near pure glucose, which is why it has such a high gi, whereas most other fruit juices have a much lower gi.

NS - No decines or dips, eh boss? How many sets is your chest day? Coupled with delts? or just solo? Heavy incline flys have always been my staple.......

Explain to me what "bringing out the fullness of the pec" means in anatomical/physiological terms.

I'll reiterate: Muscles are NOT SMART. They experience tension, that's it. The pecs will contract, or they won't. If you want to "bring out the fullness," make them BIGGER. Flyes are not as efficient for this as say, a bench press, and are actually not the safest movement for your shoulders either.

It wasn't a flame bro - I never said they were a BETTER movement than the core Bench and Incline lifts....all I said was that they are and should be an integral part of the chest routine.......I wish I had a pic to post that showed my development before and after I started including heavy flys........needsize is a prime example.......

I didn't take it as a flame.

I disagree that they are an integral part.

Your picture would be irrelevent. Let me explain why. Let's look at an example. Joe Trainee benches 150 lbs. He starts doing flyes, and 2 years later he's benching 300 lbs, still doing the flyes. He then exclaims that flyes made his chest much "fuller." Yeah, that or doubling his bench press, and I'd bet the farm on the latter.

By this same token, could it be that needsize has a great chest because he moves more weight than most of the people on this board, coupled with good genetics for shape? I really don't think the flyes have anything to do with it.

theories = too each his own.......it's why reading, learning, and applying to see how it works for you is so important...

for a while i had a problem with my chest. the problem was that if i were to put on a white t'shirt it would look like i had bitch tits even though i wasnt fat. so i never wore white or tight clothes. this problem didnt get solved till i did heavy decline work and now i can wear tight shirts with no embarassment. all i did before was flat and incline thinking i could over power my lower chest so much lower chest wouldnt look so crappy in shirts. but now i have the perfectly squared out and thick chest thanks to declines!

sorry to say

that brought a tear to my eye, really it did....
anyway it is a nice story but science proves otherwise... you muscle cannot change shape nor can you work a specific part of your chest !!! so i commend you in making that change but it was not declines that did it, it was your various chest exercises that stimulated the muscle. the reason you had gyno is because of excess fat in that area, you just lost the fat and now you can see what your chest really looks like :)
