if i shave everyday will this help my facial come in darker and coarser and faster so i can grow one of these ;). IM 17 and i just started getting post peach fuzz hair on my side burns and chin haha and under my lip.

I've been shaving since I was 13 but did not shave my mostach (sp?) because I wanted it to grow to make me look older. So I didn't cut it for 2 years and all it did was grow VERY long but was light as hell while the rest of my beard that I shaved grew dark. So around a year ago I started shaving my mostach just because it was look gay with it so light and thing. Now it grows much darker, like the rest of my beard. From this I come to the conclusion that if you shave your facial hair it will grow back darker and thicker. I would suggest shaving your face untill your around 18 or 19 when your beard is fully growing before you start actually growing any facial hair, that way it'll grow in thicker. Since your just now getting peach fuzz at the age of 17 then you might want to wait untill your like 20, unless you want to look stupid with a "rabbit fluff" under your chin :D.

Also DO NOT use electric razors. ALWAYS use a real razor. I was using an electric razor for a long time (like a year) and it gave me alot of rashs plus it can not cut off peach fuzz so your beard can't grow correctly if your just cutting off the hair that grows long.

Been shaving since I was 13 every so often b/c I had that dirty stach look going. Am now 17 and must shave once a day to keep it clean.

Listen to Advaik and go w/ a manual razor until it becomes coarse enough and if you're getting peach fuzz now you got a while. I used to use an electric razor, but since the hair wasn't coarse enough I had to go over the area over and over until it finally picked it up which resulted in razor burn and red spots on parts of my face. Granted they went away w/in a few hours, but it still sucked.

Just wait until you have the ability to grow one and you dno't want it. You then have to shave each and everyday to maintain that soft smooth face.

I've been shaving since I was 15 or 16, but I'm 27 now, so it's a little tough to remember. :)

I can tell you this: I started growing my moustache around that time, and I'd let it grow for a couple of weeks, then shave it, grow and shave, and so on. Personally, I think that helps it come in better faster.

Unlike the other guys, I've used an electric for a long time. However, I have dry skin, and that makes a big difference. I used to get monstrous razor burn when I shaved with a regular razor. Now, I never get it. The regular razor still gives a better shave, no matter what. The electric just saves time.

I will say this: be prepared for the pics of the pseudo moustache to come back to haunt you! My parents just unearthed some pictures of me from that era with a cheesy moustache, a mullet, and glasses. I was stylin', let me tell ya. Those pics convinced me to stick with my goatee and not go back to the greasy 'stache cruisin' in under the beak. LOL
