I wanna get big

nooob

New member
stupid topic i know but i couldnt think of anything else.

Ok anyway heres the deal.

I have been working out forever. I was a college athlete until last year. I played DII college football for a year and a half then decided to run D1 track and field.

I worked my ass off and was very accomplished on the track (Finished 11th in my event in the naion last year)

but now im with all that and would still like gain some weight. I still lift 3 times a week and run everyday.

I have NEVER been able to gain weight. I am 6'3" 168.9 (weighed yesterday after running)

I have only ever taken Creatine as a supplement because obviously i didnt wanna get a random drug test and lose my scholarship for taking anything illegal.

Now i would like to try something that will actually help me gain weight. I have been hearing about these pills called anabolex by a company in the dominican republic.

Id like to try something like that, as most people online have said they have either tried the pills or know someone who have used the pills and they show results.

so what do you think? should i try this? i am not new to lifting weights at all but would def be new to this.

give me any kind of suggestions.

sorry for the long post, i hate long posts and i did it myself lol

nice try officer!

but seriously...

i see 594 people viewing this forum, im sure there is at least one of you who can give me decent advice

Anyone can gain on a good diet and hardcore training. You are too light for that height to start using AAS. There's a lot more you can accomplish natty.

j/k mang...well, using some pills will be a waste of money and a waste of natural capacity. Focus yourself first in designing a perfect nutrition plan and of course a workout plan. Over time you'll see gains and you'll know when you've reached your genetic limit; but be honest with yourself at that point. It is for your health and your look. How old are you?

yeah don't run that much. Maybe you are burning too many calories and not feeding your muscles properly.

i DO NOT eat right i know that. but i do train properly.

eating properly is very expensive because i have a very high metabolism.

over the summer i did no running or lifting, just sat around eating and playing video games and weighed a whopping 173-175 pounds when i got back to training. gaining about 6 pounds all summer.

i am pretty strong for my weight. but i dont squat. it seems ive tried everything in these past 4 years in college to gain weight BUT steroids. and so now im starting to think about it.

creatine never helped me gain weight only strenght.

and i cant stop running.. thats like telling you all to stop lifting weights.. its what i do. but ive seen plenty of runners with nfl running back physiques

o yea and im 22 years old and a 5th year senior (whoop whoop)

EAT! atleast 4000 cal a day... clean food.. and 6 meals a day. make sure you have atleast 1.5g of protein per lb of body fat (Protein Shakes a Must!!) and maybe 100g of clean carbs. Get on a healthy sleep schedule and start on a strict lifting regiment. Make sure not to overtrain. Once you are serious about your rest, your diet and training you will start to see gains. Try some creatine and NO2, as these will help you gain size along the way. Lots of running and cardio are not your friend! These will work against you if you are trying to bulk up. This is the best advice I can give you my friend. You need to achieve your genetic capacity before you start exploring other methods of gaining mass.

how the fuck did you play football at 170 lbs.? i did some tryouts at semi pro and if there was someone 170 lbs. he was 5'5''. were u a kicker? i'm near 100lbs. heavier than you and it's because i don't run, i eat & i squat heavy.

ok most guys here are gonna tell you to wait for aas.for three reasons ive seen this over and over.
1.Your to young most say 25 is the magic number.
2.You said yourself you dont have your diet in ck spend time in the diet forum it helped me tweek a few things around.
3.improper research on aas you need to learn all you can i spent like seriously 6 months doing this and getting everything togethor right now it sounds like you will just piss your money against the wall and only have temp. gains and maybe hurt yourself in the long run. research diff. cycles and more importantly AIs and pct. hope this helps.

Im no pro at the subject but im pretty sure everyone will agree with me on this.
Also get in the damn squat rack youll gain some good weight just building the wheels up.

K what are clean foods? is there a website or somewhere i can find a generic guide to eating properly.

also i tried NO2 and feel it was a complete waste of 105 bucks. creatine worked for me 10 times better and cost 10 times less.

and 6 meals a day? those arent 3 course meals each right? like eggs toast and juice in the morning can be one meal. then a sandwhich in the afternoon be a 2nd and so on?

and about football i played becuase 1st it was DII football. 2nd i ran a 4.36 40 yard dash and have a vertical of 41"

the school basically kept me from failing my junior year in HS so i decided to at least give them a shot.

football wasnt for me though so i went back to track.

you dont train properly for what you want...you want mass...you gotta change you training

but i dont squat.
this is a huge problem i bet you dont dead lift either

JUST EAT GOOD, WHOLE FOODS! Any food that is a complete food, like peanutbutter, milk, eggs, sweet pot,etc,.. eat lots all day dude, and maybe then you will get Big.

Wow, 41" vertical without ever squatting? 4.3 in the 40? Dude you are a phenomenal athlete. If you started squatting as religiously as you run, actually you should cut down your cardio, but my god, you could have a 4 foot vertical! That's nosebleed territory. I'll bet you are all legs. I'd say eat, sprint, squat, and eat . Learn from this site how to eat for bulk, read how to lift. I've read that linebackers have a higher avg, vertical than bb players because of the weight training (Squats), pure explosiveness. I know you're done with college sports, but it would be fun to walk on a hoop court and jump to the top of the backboard. Save the AAS for after you've learned to bodybuild. Research.

I'm not going to read past this.

PICK UP THE FORK and start eating. You want to get big, EAT! Food is the most anabolic substance out there.

heres a good way....morning eat eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, pork, steak, and hashbrowns, and pankakes...with lots of serup, and at lunch go to mcdonaldsand order a big mac w/ xtra xtra xtra sauce, upersize fry, and 20 20pc nugget with lots of BBX sauce.....then at dinner, (its on!) eat lasagnia, chinease food, fried chicken, (xtra greasy) chitlens, fried okra, water melon, collie greens, choc cake, vit d milk, and a qt of ice cream.........if you do that diet for about 2 weeks, youll either blow up, or die from heart failure, either way it will be fun!

Try RED Blast. It's the NO with CEE and more. You'll like that.

k i had 3 eggs 2 pieces of toast with butter and a 1/4 cup of milk in my eggs.

also had a cup of minute maid juice.

total calories came to 450 which doesnt seem like alot. a whopper at burger king is more..

but anyway. does this seem like a good start? it is 450 calories more than usual so i guess it cant be too bad.

Put some pb on the toast, double everything else at least. Add four more eggs and a banana and that's my breakfast on light days. Eat like a bird, look like a bird.

THEN FORGET IT. There is not magic pill in this world. Steroids do not replace food or sleep. There is a triangle in the fitness world that cannot be sacrified. That triangle is made by training, food and rest. Without any of them, there is no success. And you can take all the steroids in this world, you'll look like a friggin balloon and as soon as you stop them, you loose that water and you get skinny again. Only your permanent side effects, if any, stay with you. And if you decide to never quit steroids to keep looking bloated, you'll kill yourself in no time.

P.S. And we lift weights because we want to get big, not skinny. If you lift heavy weights and never run, you can't look skinny. In your case, you run every single day and you wanna get big; it doesn't make sense.

...im trying to take everones advice here but you are all sounding like paranoid asses

why is that? damn. i joined this board looking to get help and you asses just make accusations..

im am 100% positive there is a way to get big and continue running..

look at the worlds fastest guys. they are not skinny.

but ok i see you guys cant provide help without bitching at me like im a 15 year old boy.

so thanks. i see this board was not the right move in getting help.

You said it yourself you don't eat right, so go to the diet forum and get educated and ask plenty of questions. When your diet and training are right and you can't gain any more muscle then post back.

under 4.4 and thats d-1 status. must be a wide-out. no hands or what, bro? u should be playing for usc of u run a 4.36 40. whats the deal. i ran a 4.45 and went D-1AA

How often do you lift per week?

Go to fitday.com to track your food intake

o ya, I almost forgot - RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH

Have you tried this or know anyone that has. Thinking about giving it a try since appetite is always an issue for me.

FITDAY JOURNAL
enter everything you eat into this program. keep your cals up to near 4000-5000 per day. make sure your getting plenty of water and cut cardio down to 30mins. max. protein intake should be at least 320 grams that will give you 1280 cals right there. carbs up to 300 grams per day, whole food carbs, not white bread and bagels. more like whole wheat bread(real whole wheat bread too), sweet potatoe, brown rice etc.. that's another 12-1300 cals per day. then eat healty fats. All Natural Peanut Butter, low sodium almonds, etc..

supplement with a good mass gainer protien shake. eat 6-7 meals througout the day. eat right before working out, right after a must is a good PWO shake. then eat again right before bed. this will get you started.

good luck.

Protein = 4 cals per gram
Carbs = 4 cals per gram
Fat = 9 cals per gram.

Following a balanced diet
It’s important to understand the basics of nutrition and why you need certain nutrients in your diet to perform daily activities. Carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals are the major nutrients your body requires. Fiber and water are also essential components of a healthy diet.

Carbohydrates (carbs) - like vitamins and minerals, carbs provide a great source of energy for the body. The main sources of carbohydrates in foods are sugar, fiber and starch. Carbohydrates can be classified as complex carbs or simple carbs - complex carbs take longer to digest and contain more fiber, vitamins and minerals, than simple carbohydrates - the bulk of the carbs we consume should be complex. Rice, oatmeal, breads, vegetables and beans (chick peas, kidney beans, etc.) are all good sources of complex carbohydrates.

1 g of carbs = 4 calories

Fats - fats are essential in the manufacturing of hormones, and act as a carrier for fat-soluble vitamins. Fat is made from smaller units called fatty acids; these are broken down into essential fatty acids (the body needs these and they must be obtained through the diet) and nonessential fatty acids (the body can synthesize these fats). Fats are classified as either saturated, polyunsaturated or monounsaturated, depending on their chemical structure. Saturated fats have been linked to many health conditions, such as obesity and increased LDL (bad cholesterol), and should be consumed sparingly in any diet. Although you should try to limit the amount and kind of fat you consume, remember fat is still an essential part of your diet, and is needed for many important functions. Make sure you choose the heart-healthy kinds of fat such as olive oil, raw nuts and avocadoes.

1 g of fat = 9 calories

Protein - protein is another important nutrient, as it helps maintain and replace the tissues in your body, keeps your hair, skin and nails healthy, and boosts your immune system. Protein is composed of smaller units called amino acids. They are classified as essential and nonessential amino acids. Our bodies aren’t able to produce essential amino acids, therefore they must be derived from the foods we eat. Good sources of protein and essential amino acids include skinless chicken breast, egg whites, extra lean ground beef, and cottage cheese. You should be consuming a source of protein with each meal.

1 g of protein = 4 calories

Vitamins and Minerals - these micronutrients work with your body to help extract energy from the foods you eat, and also ensure your body performs at an optimum level. Vitamins and minerals perform a ton of tasks in your body including digestion, transporting nutrients, regulating muscle contraction, maintaining water balance, and aiding in absorption. There are 13 different vitamins, four of which are fat-soluble and nine that are water-soluble). Consuming the recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals is essential to your overall health and wellbeing.

Water - your body is composed of almost 70% water. Water is essential in regulating your body temperature, transporting essential nutrients, and removing waste products from your body. It’s important that you consume at least ten, cold 8 oz glasses of water in your diet each day, to ensure your body functions at its optimum level.

DUDE, we are trying to give you advices but we are talking to a wall. The fastest dudes on earth don't need to run miles and miles every day. That is not part of their training at all. Besides, they are not skinny but they are not big either.

k. just went out and bought a shit load of food. potatos, pasta, steak, chicken, lots of water spent about 100 bucks which bought me maybe 2 weeks worth of food. if i eat the goal of 4k cal a day.

i signed up on fitday.com so we'll see what happened..

i did not take most your guys advice when it comes to gear though..
got some tbol from bd and we'll see how that goes. will post and give updates.

kids these days. asking for advice, and when they dont hear what they want, they do the shit anyway.:rainbow:

well i figured most guys on here only suggested i didnt take gear cause they thought i was the police

i also figure half the guys on here didnt wait until they were 25 before taking it.

and i joined the boards because id made up my mind and decided this was something i wanted to try.

but yea i wish i didnt wanna try this stuff. but ive thought about it for years and since i no longer compete for a university i figure i can at least finally try the stuff without making my school or team look bad if someone does find out.

hey noob,
listen to me. i did the same thing you are about to. to a T. I was afraid of injecting, so I bought some oral T-Bol. I ran it for 30 days @ 60mg ed. I did gain but lost it ALL!

It's not worth it. You are going to put all this effort into eating right and training right, but in the end you'll be disappointed.

Save the T bol, get you some Test-E or C, run 250mg's ew for 12 weeks. Get some AIFM and run that too. Believe me, you will be much happier and you'll thank me in the end.

Take it from someone who has been there done that. the smartest people alive learn from others mistakes as well as their own. Are you gonna listen or be disappointed??

i know man but that seems so hardcore. thats like some serious psychological shit. i think i need to start with something simple like orals and them move my way up if i decide this is for me.

plus im already trying my best to keep this hush hush from my girl who lives with me.

i think injecting would be 10 times harder. im not ready to break it to her yet.

You are a pussy kid that has no business on this particular forum. Go to the training forum and read until your head hurts, then read some more. After that go to the Diet forum and repeat.

Sell the Tbol, use the money to buy some Red Blast like Ulter (the most respected vet on this board) recommended. Eat 4,000 calories a day for a year and then come back here for advice on steroids.

I'm sorry to tell you that with that attitude you'll never succeed. You are acting immature. Think with your head, not with your heart. Listen to our experiences. I know you will do it anyways because you have your mind made up. Probably you are thinking "damn I'm gonna take this shit, I'm gonna eat like an animal, and for summer I'll be the pimp of the pimps" is not easy like that, pal. Do it; go ahead; but remember a few years in the future when we told you not to do it. Is not that you are going to die or something; it is just that when you are more adult you'll regret not doing things the right way and you'll think "damn I wish I could be 22 again and bust my ass at the gym and eating perfect, now I would start juicing and I would have a perfect body"

You are 22 only once in your life. Try to take advantage of that and we are telling you how to do it because we are older than that.

You have a lot more research to do before you even think about gear my friend.

When I first got interested in lifting I read every article on diet and training I could find. I did this for 5 years before I ever took a drug!!!!!!

Check out the diet and training board before you come back here( and I mean that in a nice way)
