When I first saw Saturday Night Fever, I thought Ben Stiller played the character who got his GF pregnant.

did you see Manhunter (before the Silence of the Lamb release)?
The Michael Mann film with Willian Peterson? I have never seen it, but I've heard it's the best cinematic interpretation of a Harris' novel. I really should make an effort to see it.

Yes, I saw it when it first came out (probably like 50 people saw it back then!). After the Silence of the Lambs, it was discovered.

There are some scenes that were so ahead of their time. Sometimes you have to see something during its period to fully appreciate it.

I think I saw it 10-15 times :)

I saw it before you.

And, I saw it 20-25 times!

You are onto something, there. I also believe nothing can replace the synergy of viewing a cinematic work with an auditorium of your peers.

I'm embarrassed to say I haven't, BUT I've saved the site on my favorites.

Mist? From the Stephen King novella? Sorry, I'm not sure if that's what you mean. If so, no, I haven't seen that either. :worried:

Yes, the Steven King novel. The cinematography is amazing.

Ah, Frank Darabont, same guy who did The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption. According to IMDB, he's written an adaptation of Fahrenheit 451 for a 2010 production.

Not sure why they are remaking it there isn't anything wrong with the original movie. I wonder how much they are going to change like will he still become the same book or will they change it.

BTW- Have you seen Equilibrium? It's kind of like F451 meets the Matrix.

Cheers,

I don't either. But then Psycho was remade, frame by frame...what a disaster.

I've not seen Equilibrium. I'll google it. :artist:

I'm a hugh Hitchcock fan. Vertigo, Rear Window, and North By Northwest being my favorites.

Yes, Frida as a child, in sympathy with Lourdes Ciccone (or whatever her sir name is-lol)

Hitchcock movies are great, The Birds always freaked me out as a kid. I loved Alfred Hitchcock presents, I still find myself whistling the funeral march of the marionette at times.

Well you look more like Salma playing Frida than the actual Frida.
