from the golf course........I played SO damned badly today.....the lessons have NOT helped - can't get that damned hip thing down....

Oh and a bunch of 20-something assholes kept raining their golf balls on me....idiots....
 
It can be frustrating as hell - I mean you're only hitting a ball with a stick, c'mon! how hard can it be? But when you don't play well - it's VERY frustrating....

But one good shot (like the one I hit over the water today - FINALLY!) can make your whole day....

Oh and it can be $$$$....
 
When I was a kid I played the kids mini golf thing up at the park in maine. But I have never actually played on an adult serious level.
 
You should be banned for attempting golf, lol. My brother is a pro and let me tell he is a pansy when I hip-check his ass mid stroke.

My nephew got a set of clubs and bag from Callaway for Christmas.

I am fighting this indoctrination with a steady stream of hockey gear. I already got into trouble for teaching him how to bonk people on the head. Wait until I teach him to headbutt.
I think a punching bag is next.

I am such a good uncle eh?

The only relavent question is how many times did the beer cart stop for you?

My dad has been playing for like 60 yrs. I've seen him, on the same hole, tell me "Golf is a game of patience..." and the launch his putter into the fairway so hard that the head sticks in the ground and the shaft wiggles until it settles. My mother has stitches in her head from clubs he's thrown down in frustration & bounced up & hit her in the head. My grandmother used to keep a barrel in the basement for all his broken clubs.

But I tend to play better w/ the beer -- the more I drink, the less I care, the better I play :)

lol i like golf i just suck at it.its like i start out good but when im near water, i get scared that my balls gonna go in the water, and i feel all the pressure and then PLOP right in the water it goes

I was *this close* to wrapping my 5 wood around this kids neck who dropped a ball right behind me....then as I was waiting my turn to tee off hit another one into a tree behind me, which bounced off so we were on high alert.....



And I LOVE dodgeball.......... ;)

I've never attempted REAL golf, but somehow I think that me and Sassy would get along quite well if I did. Not beer, though. I dont care much for it. A thermosfull of cosmos and I think that I'd be good to go by the end of the first hole! ;)

Now THAT's what ahm talking... When is T-time? I will bring the rum! (True story, when my dad would take us to the park to go ice-skating he ALWAYS had a thermos full of hot tea w/rum.)

Tee time is usually 11:15am......Make sure you wear your plaid pants.....
