New member
I turned my verbal resignation in at work this morning, my last day with the company will be feb 28th. Not sure where I go from here, but I can't handle the stress/bullshit/politics of my job anymore. If I dont find a job by the 2nd week of March I'll find job at home depot or ace hardware, or maybe at my gym so I can pad my time. I have money saved up for a few months time without work but hopefully I can find something by the end of february. I have a couple of leads now so wish me luck.

wow. i hope all goes well for ya. you've got over a month, so you should be alright. but then, spring'll be here soon and you might wanna take a nice vacation.

It's a big move but sometimes the bullshit of annoying people can't be tolerated anymore. You have a month to get yourself some dreams to play with. Try to make the whole thing a move forwards towards something you want rather than just a step away from something you don't want.

you'll find something sugar... and if you need a meal, you can always count on me. we can drag sled, and then i'll cook ya up a nice cajun dish and make your belly happy.

I was close to done with my job a few months ago, I hung in there but i'm still not completely happy with it.. Basically it pays the bills and i can feed my fat ass with the extra. ;)

Dude, I respect you quiting but how come you didn't get a another job lined up first. It is aways easier to get a job when you have a job is a very true saying.

Go out looking "good on paper" ... It will be OK ... There are lots of opportunities out there that are rewarding. Sometimes you just have to take a chance!
 
hard thing to do, but you will be glad you done it, if your not happy and cant see things getting any better , then get out. Good luck man, you will find a job easy !
 
Hey Scots, let me check with the boys at the Williams and encana offices up here for you, I bet they are on the lookout for a rock hound. I know that Directional Plus in the Denver office was looking for a well planner as well not too long ago.
If you don't find something by Feb. let me know, you always have a spot on my rig.

Simple when you work 300+ hrs per month you don't have time to look for a job or do interviews.

Good for you for finally standing up to their crapola. Good luck finding a new position, but I bet your qualifications and competence will make that a slam dunk.
