I need to un-install IE Explorer...

I've tried it all. From the start menu ~> control panel ~> add/remove to going through windows to delete it, I can't get rid of IE. I can't handle it. My CPU is getting all fvcked up. Pop-ups gallore, it slows my system and I believe it is fvcking with my windows XP. Any ideas how to clean house? And no, I will not del tree

Does your default login have Admin permissions? If you don't know what I'm talking about, then it probably does.

Are the pop-ups from IE or do they appear from the ether?

Use Firebird as your web browser. No web pop-ups with that.

Do you have a firewall? If you don't, get one and that will eliminate messaging popups. You could also turn off the messaging system in XP.

And... run ad-aware and/or spybot to clean shit from your system. Those two proggies are more of a medicine to remove the sickness - it doesn't remove the base problem with your system. Your system is insecure, and you'll keep having these problems.

You don't have to delete IE -- you just have to make Firefox the "default browser." That'll help.

If your computer is a fucked as it sounds the best thing to do is back up all your files, format the HD and re-install windows.

I downloaded mozilla for a friend because IE was fucked (everytime he tried to type in it, it would crash)

Also, there is no way to open the control panel. It simply will not do it. I scanned for viruses and ran ad-aware....any ideas you computer geniuses?

Control panel not opening = bad.
