This is what pisses me off..........
The wife and I spend alot of $$$$$ on our landscape. Two years ago we put in a pond and filled it with fish (KOI). Since we now have rednecks living two doors down, I no longer own any fish. $500.00 worth gone! I have seen their cats in my yard many times. What do I do. Can I shoot them (the cats) with a pellet or bb gun? Or just use a 9mm on the rednecks........lol. Anyways, I have no way to prove that it was their cats, and calling animal control.......well they will just say the have to catch them in my yard. We do have a leash law in this county. Sorry to ramble on......but now I am pissed.

also... I have a friend that has a fish pond.. They too spent way too much money on KOI. (Get the Shibumkins). but any way... Their KOI started to disapper like yours. They had nop clue what was going on until one day she was driving up the drive and there stood a grey heron w/ one of her koi. The heron must have been making daily stops for a couple of weeks. It was easy picking for that heron.

He died from a massive gat attack :destroy:

God rest his soul

Ok ............Corprate (the wife) just approved the purchace of a pellet gun................Which one should I buy?
I do not want to kill them.....just to let them know it off limits.

I kind of agree with you... I doubt it's cats, especially if it's a big koi pond.

That is a cool pond... I really can't see cats getting down in that water though... But maybe it they're hungry..

Just buy cheap fish.. If you are going to have something like that outside, you are just giving easy meals to everyone- birds, raccoons, whatever.. Once they know it's there, it will be like a restaurant for them. Whatcha gonna do, it's nature:chomp: :chomp:

The reason for the KOI is that they can last through out the winter.

Any fish folks out there that could recommend some pond fish?

I live in a subdivision.....no hawks flying around.....the fish have been fine for 2 years.....till the cats moved in. I have see them around the pond....even with their paws in the water.

Get the ones that are 10 for $1.00. They will get fairly big and they will last thru the winter... I have seen the froze solid in my dad's pond and they were fine that next spring

Thanks bro!

Jeep.. this is not a joke. But if your backyard is fenced in.. I will let you take home my dog.. he is a Warlock Dobe. I will let him come stay with you for a week. I can promise you that your cat problem will cease. Trust me on this one. The dog is faster and much more patient that any cat alive. He treed a cat once and waited for 2 days at the bottom of the tree. Plus.. you met him and you see how much he likes people.

Or.. you could just ... well.. I will tell you that one in person.

First thing I would do it tell your neighbors about the problem. Tell them to either correct the problem.. or you will. At least make them aware of the problem. Then take action yourself.

hahaha! I didn't even see that. Cryogenics does work!!!

YES it does work.....with the KOI at least. The first year I got them the pond was not winterized.........And it froze solid for 3 weeks. I could see the fish at the botton.....all frozen like a steak in the frezzer. Once the pond warmed up the fish began to swim......was really cool........Now I miss them even more............bo hoooooo

If it is truly the cats, then get a pellet gun and put a pellet in their lungs. They won't die immediately, but hours/days later. Then it won't be on your property when they are found. Make sure you stay inside the house and shoot out an open window or door. So no one sees you.

buy a hand gun type with the spinner clip, looks like a revolver, its very powerful ive shot a coon and it broke skin and ive killed a rabbit with a head shot

if you just want to piss the cat off use the red ryder
