I went to the doctor today for some mild chest/back pain. They gave me an EKG and a chest xray. The chest xray came back clear, but he said the EKG showed signs of endocarditis, some bacteria and or fluid on my heart. I was in shock. I thought only old people or IV drug users got this. I am very careful and completetely sterile with all my injections. I have never hit a vein that I know about. No blood after aspirating. There has been blood in the needle after injection, but only a dab, and I was told by a professional that this was completetely normal. I always change needles after drawing. The doctor also said this could be from excessive caffeine or ephedra. I couldn't beleive that one. He gave me penicillin and told me to take an aspiprin daily and see him back in a couple of days. I'm freaking out! Could it be the gear? I highly doubt this. I'm confused. Anybody with any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated.
