I need a serial # for windows 2000.

I have a bootlegged copy with a serial but I must be reading some of the numbers/letters wrong because it's not working for me. Does anyone know where I could find a working one?

I tried opening the setupp.ini file and changing the last 3 digits of the PID # to 270 (supposedly this bypasses the serial screen) but it said I didn't have access to change this.

Thanks.

I dl'ed a program called Oscar that is full of working serials. I used the serial, it worked, started installing, etc. Then it restarted the comp and a blue screen popped up basically saying to check for viruses and run chkdsk /f because it couldn't boot, or something like that. I ran the latter and it said to run scandisk. I ran scandisk and as usual the hard drive started making a corrupt noise 1/4 the way through and froze on me. (the whole reason i was installing win2k was in hopes of eliminating the noise problem, so it's just one big loop)

Either a) my hard drive is about to join hard drive heaven or b)i have a virus that i can't seem to get rid of.

Thanks for the help though.
