i need a new back workout

my back workout i don't think is doing anything for me, i need a new one, anybody want to post there's up or give me some suggestions

and your current back workout would be?

I dont see how you can go wrong with deadlifts, barbell rows, pull ups, and 1 arm rows...

current workout is pullups, seated rows, and the last exercise i am not sure what its called, its free weights, you are standing but kind of sit down and pull the bar to your chest at an angle, adding deadlifts eventually

Adding deadlifts would make your back grow with enough weight.

Ditch seated rows unless you have a lower back injury and try Bent over barbell rows.

Get better at any lift and you'll grow without a doubt.

Another thing to consider would be frequency. I pull from the floor three times a week. and I would suggest that you pull at least twice a week. maybe deads one day and rows/weighted chins the next. also make sure you are rowing from the floor at 90 degrees. deweighting each rep. another suggestion would be to peep the the training sticky. check out madcows site, specifically the training primer and the part regarding excercise descriptions.

Change your mentality.... "adding deadlifts eventually" needs to change to "adding deadlifts tomorrow."

okay so pullups bentover barbell rows, and deads will be enough, i'll try it tomorrow and let you guys now how i feel, thanks

last question, even though i am on my way to workout now, are we talking about SLDL or deadlifts, i am assuming SLDL

You don't understand the basics of training. A whole bunch of exercises is just that. Throw in 27 exercises or find the magic exercise. . . you still don't become Ronnie, or even close. A list of exercises is only one small part of the equation. You need to focus on a few good exercises (several have been mentioned already), and then train on those exercises several times a week, adding weight as often as possible, with the goal of getting stronger and stronger at that exercise. Growth is the result. You don't go in and shotgun diff't exercises this week and hope for the best.

No, sldl's are for the legs. Somebody post a proper deadlift video. With 700 posts, I can't believe you haven't figured out that regular deads are great for the back.

okay never have done deads before, so i really wouldn't know, i do know what they are hence even asking the question in the first place, i am just looking for a better back workout, my others are on point, gaining every week, my back just seems to be lagging

i do understand the basics of training, as i said in above post, my back is lagging and i wanted to change it up, and training several times a week on the same exercises.....do you know the basics of training?!?!

anyway, i did SLDL today as i thought that is what people were talking about, straight deadlifts seems like they would be more of a back workout, anyway, as i was saying yesterday, my back feels much more worked out than usual, which is what i meant about letting you guys know today how it went and how it felt, on my old workout i didn't feel much of anything, but didn't gain much either

So if a regular deadlift works your back more than why in the hell would you do a hamstring movement instead? If you are feeling sldl more in your back than hamstrings you're not doing them right. I dunno man all i can say is WTF :jenscat
