I had some time before class and I flipped on the boob tube and Oprah was on - I never watch this show.

You just have to read these two stories:

Snippets

In 1985, 22-year-old Jim MacLaren was a 6'5" 300-pound Yale all-American athlete and aspiring actor. His future appeared as unlimited as his ambitions. But one fall day in New York City, Jim was struck by a bus and pronounced dead. "They actually chalked my body on the street," he says.

When Emmanuel Yeboah was born without a tibia in his right leg, his mother was advised to kill him. In Ghana, a disabled baby is considered a curse and is either poisoned or left in the forest to die. The lucky ones are hidden away until they can make their way to the streets, where they'll spend the rest of their lives begging.

Fine! I did. It is amazing. She has those kinds of stories on there all the time. Those are extremely unbelievable though.

I love watchin Oprah, im watching it right now.
With the Jim guy, its like lightening struck him twice.....broken neck and pronounced dead

those are great storys, but I don't care for Oprah really.. using these stories to fatten her pockets.

Oprah dont need stories like that to fatten her pocket. Shes on the air for 5 more years or something, she needs something good to put on it
she also donated 10million dollars to NO.

One morning I got dressed while half-asleep. About 2 hours later at work I noticed I had on one brown shoe and one black shoe.

That was a bad week.

I saw that show about a year ago and it was great. Those three individuals have the biggest hearts I've ever known. That big dude, he was a class act. Overcoming all that he has. I believe he was hurt twice, it must have been so depressing. Then to do more in his life than I could imagine myself doing is very inspiring.

This is 100% true they had a tribute to these two men during this years espy awards, my lady was crying so hard, and to be honest it was very moving. Made me feel very selfish. Great post velvet

'I am not my body. I am a man.'

Nice.

and I love Oprah. I watch it if she's not interviewing celebrities. She's got some great shows and does help a lot of people. She IS a generous person, and very smart.
