Okay, I'm worried sick now. My sister was going to be a live in nanny for me, and I've been calling her for 2 weeks with no answer. I thought that was odd, but I hypothesized that maybe she had changed her mind and didn't want to speak to me because she thought that I would be disappointed. I have called her at least 10 times in the past 2-3 weeks and left messages for her to return my call. Last time that I actually spoke to her she said, "I'm sitting here at a friends house. Let me call you right back." I have not heard from her since.

Well, my grandma calls me today and says, "I've tried to call Kara MANY times, and she doesn't call me back."

She ALWAYS calls our grandma back. Our grandma said that she called her well over 10 times.

I called her phone today and said, "Kara, sweetie, sissy (that is me) and Mam-maw are really worried because we haven't heard from you. Please call me or your grandma and let us know you are okay. We love you."

Still, I've heard nothing.

I'm at my wits end.

One time when I called her, it sounded like someone picked up on her cell phone and immediately hung up on me.

Should I call the police now?

I don't know her address since she had moved. I know that she works in Winchester, but I don't know the name of the business. I can't think of any way to check up on her.

I'd say call them. Better to call and be wrong than to wait and be right and have her in need of help. (God forbid). I hope everything is ok and turns out well.

Sound unusual for her not to be in contact. Any way to find out if any one has seen or heard from her? Yes I think I would file a report.

If you are close to her and you suspect something is wrong. dont wait call the police and have them check>

how many stripclubs can there be in Winchester?

just kidding, good luck :(

yeah, I think I will call.

She is only 24 and has been a bit wild in the past, but was supposed to have stopped partying. I hope nothing happened with drugs.

She lost her mom, her grandpa and her father all in the last two years.

I'm assuming you live too far away. Check your phone records, caller ID etc... and call the numbers back from the places she called you from. good luck.

Call the police, but you need some information to give them. You at least need her address. You need someone to go to her home and check it.

Well, she has been living with a girlfriend and they share rent. I reported her to the police in Winchester who said that they would check on her at her place of employment.

I'm really nervous. I have a bad feeling. She was really into being an aunt, and I can't imagine why she wont call me and our grandma back.

She has always been more like a daughter than a sister to me.

She always called me from her cell phone. I don't have another phone number for her. I haven't met her gf that she was living with and don't know how to contact her.

She had recently gotten back together with an ex-boyfriend whom I don't approve of. He is a big LOSER. My strong fear is that he has OD'd her or something and just left her.

Have you sent a text to her cell phone?

"I am worried about your safety, you must call me or I will call the police."

Something along those lines.

^^^^^^good idea--

The text is a good idea. I'm going to do that. I can't sleep thinking that something happened to her. I'm going to call my grandma again in the morning to ask her all of Kara's friend's numbers, if she has them. If I don't reach someone who knows where she is, I'm going to drive over to her hometown, even though I don't know her address and just start asking everyone I see if they know her and know where she is. It's a small town.

small town...ughghgh...if you don't get any answers i would hire a retired state trooper who is a private investigator--and not connected with the town

shit...that's scary stuff.

hard not to think the worst, but try your best not to jump to any conclusions.

kids our age shut off the world sometimes and kinda go awol...i hope that's the case.

I would def hire a P.I. or something similar. what possible traces could you have back to her Apt? Do you have her social(not likely, but you never know)? with that you can possibly find her address

wow, if its not one thing its another. pm me her info you have and i can get someone at the academy to check her out and fill in the blanks so you can have a better idea where to look or who to ask. i pray everything is alright.

damn, i hope she's ok. i thought she started living with you already. Please keep us updated.

who's been watching devin? i haven't approved anyone else.

I hope she is ok! If she is ok then you need to slap her silly for worrying you so much!

I'd leave it to the cops.

The last person here in Maine who could not contact her sister, drove to her sister's small town looking for her. Four people ended up dead, dismembered, and the killer even killed the sister's three dogs.
