Finally went to get a hair cut last night. I usually cut my own hair b/c I never like how a salon does it.
I asked the guy to trim the back and give me one layer. What does he give me? The Farrah 70-80's feathered looked.
I feel like I should be wearing bell bottoms that show my lips....

Why can't a hair dresser EVER cut your hair the way you asked for it?!

This is how my hair looks but shorter.

The girl who does my hair here in Irving is not only an EXCELLENT stylist but a remarkable colorist as well (very hard to find). It's hard to cut curly hair properly and I have come to her with more than one *coloring disaster* :lmao:.

I was *this close* (and still am) to having her cut my hair REALLY SHORT and she was like, "Let's go for it if that is what you want."

Usually the stylists do what THEY want and totally ignore you. Erika is the shit!
 
Actually, I think that retro look is f'in hawt, especially with red hair. maybe it will grow on you.

I need an "Erika"...my sis in Toronto has a great guy, but he charges $250 for a cut and it 500 klm away! so nope!

I seriously said to this hair dude last night "shave it". I wish it was acceptable for me to shave my head. To just get up and wash my head would RULE...haha!

This girl I work with recommended me to her "guy" Well I show up at his private salon and he was a 6'2- 250Lbs biker with tats and was SUPER GAY!. He talked about how irresponsible I was to swim and damage my hair...ugh! see yaaaaaaa!

Erika..where are you?!

The trouble is it takes so long to blow dry. I don't have 20 mins every morning.....

My hair is all one length, so I cut the sides and bangs (I have long bangs) and I get a friend or Mom to cut the back straight across

no kmart in Canada...besides, I would NEVER shop where you do! ;-) Acid washed jeans are as out of style as my new cut.
By the way Gino, I never said I look like her, I said my hair was like her. I am way hotter than Farrah!

Oh okay. I was wondering how the hell you cut your own hair!! LOL

That sucks because now you have layers, so you wont be able to do that anymore probably.

It took me years to find a stylist that I liked.

The bouncing around till you find one is worth it, but its annoying when you cmoe home with something you dont like or want.

bouncing is what my hair has been doing all day...haha!
Well it looks nice, if I spend 40 hr a week blow drying it.

I'll get it one length again, I won't cut it until then. I clip it up a lot so...

When it all gets to the same lenght you may want to consider getting a big ole salad bowl out and trim 'round the rim. lol :heart:

I need a hair cut now I am nervous to get one. The best hair cut ever is my sister in law but she lives an hour away. I found one girl does a pretty good job but she is all booked for tomorrow and I am already way passed do for a cut. Oh and the $250 your sis spend I hope that is with colour and happy ending even then that is freaking retarded expensive downtown with a master stylist it is like $85 for a cut.

After this cut, I'm going to be nervous to go to anyone.
My sis's guy is booked for 6 months, so ppl actually pay this. Nuts. My cut cost me $20...hehe It shows!
She does get a color with that and a glass a wine.

I would have, but I didn't feel like blow drying for another 5 HOURS to get it looking normal
 
I'm going to be bald so I'll end up spending way more than that on "keeping" my hair. Hair is expensive.

Not really......shaved head guys get called out all the time. My balding shaved head friends complain all the time. I think they're jealous of my hairline....
