I keep getting chewed out by customers at work today

I do confirmation calls to confirm contracts. And one guy chewed me out for recording a conversation without telling him. I'm a damn summer student, I don't know the law. I fucking do as I'm told. Everyone keeps trying to find loopholes in the contracts too and asking me about them. Inevitably, my response is always, "Sorry, you can't actually do that if we fulfill our end of the contract." Nobody seems to like that response though. Look man, I do not own this company. I call people to get a confirmation and read from a script. Outside of that, I know nothing at all. I'm going to start using a great deal of profanity soon I just know it.

You could always put them on hold whilst you research their question..........or use your supervisor.
