ALA is very sensitive to moisture and other environmental conditions. Properly-sealed caps are better for that reason.

also is biotin really necessary or another gimmick? i guess just pop in another multi vitamin tab a day to compensate for biotin.

yes its really necessary and your multi does not have near enough.

both racemic ala and r-ala interfere with biotin dependent carboxylases.
