My Pops went the same way. Tha day after Father's Day, 14 years ago.

I was just back from Desert Storm and never had a chance to say goodbye.

oh, Hotz, I am so sorry, I lost 3 grandparents while in US and never got to see them or say "I love you" and hug them one last time....sorry, bro, I know how painfull it is

well, dont be so hard on yourself. Last xmas is not that long ago. Your great granpa knows you love him even too much, he wont mind.
To me, the hardest was when my grandpa that I grew up with at the same house, while he was in hospital and all those days that he was slowly dying, he was asking to see me, halucinating that I am there, even when I called the house, my grandma wouldnt let me talk to him or tell me something is wrong.

See, there is much worse...:(

Sorry to hear that. A 22 year old guy at work dropped dead on the spot from a heart attack last night.

:worried: I'm sorry to hear about your g-grandfather, Hotzie, I lost my mother in a very similiar way, but after she had the surgery ...

You have the number for the Red Cross, right? I was released from basic for my father's funeral and it was done through them.

I was thinking about you & your family last nite & today --- very sorry for your loss. You're very lucky to know your greatgrandparents -- and it sounds like he definitely experienced a long life. My heart is with you & your family.

Although I am sorry for your loss and that of your family, I can honestly say that I know what you are going through. thanks guys , we are all holding up pretty well, still dont believe that it happened but it was his time to go. he was 93 and lived a good life. im just gald he didnt have to suffer at all. thanks again everyone.
