I have something to say

hey everyone,

As some of you might know I am a bit overloaded with work and do not have the time to visit here that often.

Also, some of you might remember from certain threads that I had a lot of criticism about the US of A. Well, I was just in NYC and I know NYC is nothing like the rest of the states but it did get me thinking.

Personally it was a bit to overcrowded for me but I can understand some people would dig it as a city. As far as Americans (or New Yorkers) are concerned I was impressed. Ttly not what I expected.

I found people in general to be happy, positive, full of life and with a style of their own like no other.
I liked the vibe, actually I loved it. Who would have thought ay?

Now I dunno about the rest of the states and from what I have heard, if I go across the states and stop off in more than one diner I will become the biggest anti USA person again, however meanwhile I stand corrected (at least regarding NYC). That place, in regards to its human population and atmosphere, rocked.

Fair enough, but I don't recall ever talking to you so I am pretty sure you have no idea what history of threads made me say that. I was obviously talking generally and being judgemental from my own point of view.
I have travelled alot and have a pretty good knack of getting a vibe for a place. I am always ready to change my views and realization... just discussing.

NYC isn't very representative of the whole country in my experience but it does tell you that most Americans are very cool and not much different than you. This is true almost everywhere.

Yeh, as I said like twice in my first post, NYC does not represent anywhere but itself but if americans are anything like them then America is cooler than I thought.

Good vibes, super friendly people, intelectual heaven, lectures every evening in the book stores, amazing sub cultures everywhere you look, girls smile when you look at them (instead of acting all empowered like they do in most places especially here in Israel), just a general life is to have fun attitude...

The street food was not so great and I couldn't afford a good restaurant every meal... Thats one thing Israel rules on, great, relatively healthy street food.

Not to start a whole political arguement here...but explain to me how you feel you are entitled to be critical of the US when we are the only ones that are keeping Israel from being over run by the Arabs. I know you will argue with me, but US funding is the only thing that makes your military what it is. Mind you, I've met some Iraeli commandos who were bad motherfuckers...but you can have all the bad motherfuckers in the world but that don't mean shit if you have no weapons.

So maybe, instead of criticising the US, why don't you just say "Thank you".

Ignorant - I've lived in 5 countries on 3 continents...I'm pretty wise to the ways of the world. I've been more places and seen more stuff than most people can ever dream of.
