I develop database applications for the oil & gas business.

I love it. Its creative, challenging and in the end you actually get something 'concete' out of it - an app that people are actually using. BUT I do basically just sit in front of a computer all day. Its not for everybody.

I have an Econ degree, but kinda fell into this by fluke.

The money is ok, and can be quite good but the market is the shits here right now.

I think the outlook is very good, I mean its not like computers are gonna be playing LESS of a role in anybodies life in the future.
