It's very true..be so careful and the No. 1 thing is rest! I had it years ago after a trip down south. Took me two months to fully recover. My neck swelled up so much I was hospitalized..could barely swallow. If you find yourself in that kind of pain with your throat, don't mess around..DEMAND DEMEROL!!!!!

Many people have this virus and don't even know it. You never really gets rid of it because it stays dorment in your body and it resurfaces when you least expect it.

Plenty of rest, drink a lot of water and eat only good food.

Exactly! My daughter had it for 2 months last year & was almost hospitalized. Excrutiating throat pain. After the frank symptoms end, you should take some supps to help get you back on your feet.

he had it when he was 7 and we think he got it at bible school because it was summer vacation and he hadnt been anywhere
he was a terrible patient
