Upon further pondering of this thread I've also concluded that Minnesota is not a great state to wear open-toed shoes in anyhow as there's snow for the majority of the year. Though I have been outside in open toed shoes, scraping the ice from my car at 5:30am on countless occasions-- I must say that it totally sucked.
