I have anemia

solidspine

New member
I have anemia or low red blood cell count,

Not currently on a cycle, just taking liquidex

have to have more blood work done.

Have no idea what could be causing this?

Any advice on how to increase my red blood cell count, see the MD on Friday?

thats what its prescribed for...start with 1-a-day see how it goes.. and if you can get the androlics from thailand they rock...

Thats a tough one to answer, my dog was suffering from anemia which was a direct result of bone cancer. Other things that can cause it are kidney disease, HIV/AIDS, rheumatoid arthritis to name a few. Best bet would be to open up to the doc and see if you can nail it down.

Solidspine i had the same thing just got outta the hosp 4 weeks ago. mine have came on slowly ove a few months time it had gotten so bad i drove instead of walked because it took too much effort i was down to only two units(normal is 12) so i was put on transfusions after tests(X-Rays,Camera probe thru the body) blood tests etc) nothing showed up,the doc said sometimes to body gets in a deficit and tries to catch up when it can't it shuts down now i'm on iron supplement therapy. The Doc was shocked when i told him i was still training heavy( but i had rapid heart beats & shortness of breath)he said it was a wonder i hadn't passed out. Hope this info helps!!! Peace bro! RADAR

Radar

I just picked up some Iron and will try and see my Doc tomorrow, simply fatigued and pale looking, have no idea what caused this.

EPO for a quick fix........naw, that's for crazy people....like me.
See the doc, and push him for that anadrol Rx and GH. All good answers above, really. Radar and solid, I'd really be interested in what they find out about your situation. I've had mild symptoms like that from time to time, but I'm a big fan of anadrol so maybe that saved me. Some guys don't eat enough red meat when cutting?

Be carefull with the iron supps. High iron (ie hemochromotosis) is a not so uncommon ailment that can kill over time. If you iron levels are within normal range I wouldnt add a bunch more, it puts a lot of stress on the liver.

Thanks I will simply try and see him again today or tomorrow and have the blood work done again before the holiday.

With the second blood test they will try to identify the cause of the low count, I believe there test were accurate because in addition I feel really tired and look pale.

Hopefully the test will shed some more light on the cause,

The only two cycles that I have done in the last year that may have affected my liver was a SHORT 5 week 40mg ed D-bol, cycle, jump starting a 14 week test and primo and then I also did 2 weeks of dnp at 500mg which did wipe me out.

Bro, I don't have time to pull down the medical abstracts for you - but be aware that there are MANY different kinds of anemia... but people are indoctrinated to think of all anemia as "iron" anemia. (You can have copper anemia, zinc anemia, etc...)

Read up.

First - talk to a doc. Second, go to a pharmacist and tell him your anemic and you are thinking of using an iron supplement and ask him what to get - some are far better than others for that purpose. I was anemic a few years ago because, well, I hadn't eaten in 2 months. Shut up. Doc told me to take iron and eat well. The problem could be your diet or it could be something else which is why you need to figure out what the problem is. In order to get your body producing more red blood cells, you have to give it the necessary components to do so, which is why iron is usually necessary. I don't think drugs are the answer here. You don't what the problem is and putting drugs that are hard on the body in your system might not be a good idea.

Results of blood test, I am not Iron deficient second blood test should shed some light on this, Doc can’t figure out why I am anemic?

No doubt, bro, do your homework in addition to seeing your doc. Iron can be devastating to your cardiovascular system if you really don't need it because it easilly oxidizes in your blood. Ever hear of Antioxidents (Vit. C, E, etc.)? That's what people take to stop or prevent this process. All the best with it bro, please keep us updated.

Anemia is not something to take lightly and self prescribe drugs for. There are different types of anemia. We classify them according to whether its A. a production problem or B. a destruction problem.

The first thing you do to differentiate this is to get a reticulocyte count (nomal is .5 to 1.5% of total RBC count) if your anemic and your retic count is low, you have a production problem. If its high then you have a destruction problem (retics are immature RBS that only circulate for a few days)

Now there are different types of problems that cause these production problems and destruction problems.

Destruction problems : spleen sequestration, autoimmune vascular consumption disorders (ie Hemolytic uremic syndrome, idiopathic thrombocytopenic Purpura, Heart valvular problems and more) also you can group blood loss causes under these too
(ex Colon Cancer, ulcer disease)

Production problems: are broken into normocytic, microcytic and macrocytic anemias. These are classified accordiing to RBC size (80-100 normal range)

Examples of each
Normocytic (early iron def)
Microcytic anemia- iron deficiency, Renal failure, thalasemia major and minor, Heavy metal poisoning (lead, mercury)
Macrocytic- LIVER Disease, use of Sulfa drugs

I would be concerned in your case of using juice for (TELL YOUR DR YOUR USING):
Sometype of marrow failure (apastic anemia)
sometype of liver disease or renal disease
sometype of Gastrointestinal Cancer.
These would be on the top of my differential diagnosis.

THIS IS NOT SOMETHING TO TAKE LIGHTLY AND SELF MEDICATE FOR. STOP ALL SUPPLEMENTATION AND GET AN EVALUATION BY A HEMATOLOGISTS IF YOUR PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN CAN NOT FIGURE IT OUT!!

Good luck and God Speed

Are you taking a multivitamin? 3 weeks into a stict diet I was told by my physiotherapist that I was looking very pale and I was also really tired. She asked me if I was getting enough iron. Back then I wasn't using a multivitamin because I was low on cash, I went ahead and bought one and made sure to take extra vit C and E.

The change was immediate.
