I have a new Harley! (and the single life)

Picked up my new heritage softail last night. It rides ALOT different than my wide glide did. The biggest difference is the seating position; on my glide I leaned back a bit, but the heritage sits more upright like most bikes do. The platforms also feel strange for now.

I'm off work today and Friday for a four day weekend. Now I have to break it in before Monday, 1000 miles, so they can do the 1000 mile service before Wednesday. That's when I'm heading for the outer banks NC for a week long bachelor party in a shore house!

Ah, the single life. :D

One of two things I'm guessing:

1. Someone told you you're not allowed to ride it anymore (which, if this is the case, is just pathetic. Grow a pair, mang!)

2. A judge told you you're not allowed to ride it for a year or two (which, if this is the case, is completely understandable. Don't even THINK about it...I have a friend who thought he could sneak in a ride while his bike license was suspended, and of course he got caught. Has to go to court for it, and it could cost him a couple grand in fines.)

It was a local cop who knew EXACTLY who was on the bike, and a dragnet would have been put up all around the city within seconds. That's the only reason he didn't run.
 
Whew, 397 miles of back road riding today. Learned that the heritage doesn't lean quite as far as my glide did as I scrapped the floorboards a few times. :D

I'll hit the 500 mark tomorrow morning, after that I'll be able to cruise highways all the way to 1000. I should be broken in by mid Saturday. Can't wait to get this baby up to 80 mph and see how it feels to not have wind push against your chest. :)

Oh and Ulcaster, the longer I'm without my ex-wife the more I'm enjoying not having her around. I'm really starting to enjoy being single again, it just took a litle time for me to re-learn the single way of thinking. This is going to be a great summer for me, it's already starting off with a bang! Can't wait to see what beautiful young lady will grace the virgin passenger seat on my new bike.

I'm betting it's gonna be some hot southern outer banks girl next week, I'm not packing the spare helmet for just show... :p
